The schools in Area 9 are Anniston, Cleburne County, Hadley, Munford and White Plains. Here are the top five players to watch in Class 4A Area 9 this season.
Antonio Kite Antonio Kite 6'1" | NA lbs | PG Anniston | 2022 State #240 Nation AL | 6-2 G | Anniston
Kite is an all around baller that can finish at the rim. He can also shoot from the outside and at the mid range level. The incoming Senior is a do it all type of player and can be the leader his team needs on the court.
Brody Higgins | G | Cleburne County
Higgins displays poise and determination on every possession. He can fly to the rim but can connect from deep range as well. Higgins is also a standout defender.
Maurice Cameron | 5-7 G | Hadley
Cameron is a great guard that is a little undersized. But his quick speed and terrific handles give him the ability to fly past defenders. He can get to the rim or hit a jumper with an open look.
Jaquan Anderson | 5-9 G | Munford
Anderson is a standout player on his team and was a big contributor last season. As the new season nears, Anderson’s electrifying game will be on full display. He can finish at the rim and is a solid rebounder and defender.
Kendrick Ball | 5-10 F | White Plains
Ball can help space the floor for his teammates off the pick and roll and is excellent near the rim at both ends. He has great size and can be a versatile playmaker at both ends of the court.
