The top players in this area could be some of the top 4A talent on the hardwood to watch in 2021-22.
Jacob Brantley | 6-5 F | Curry
Brantley is a solid forward that can play on the perimeter and in the paint. Near the rim, he can elevate at the basket for an easy score over smaller defenders. But even at 6’5″, Brantley can let it rain from beyond the arc. He is also a sensational lockdown defender and can block shots and force turnovers in the post.
Brayden Newton | 5-7 G | Curry
Newton is a smaller guard, but he plays with a ton of poise and determination. He can cut to the rim and elevate for an easy layup or hit a spot up shot from anywhere on the court. If he gets to the free throw line late in games, Newton can ice the game for his team.
Adam Cooper | 6-3 G, F | Hanceville
Cooper can play both guard and forward, and plays at a high level. He has an excellent jumpshot and can pull up from anywhere on the court. Cooper is also a great defender and can force turnovers to turn it into a quick score for his team.
Zachary Campbell | 5-9 G | Hanceville
Campbell is a terrific guard that can score at will and be the team leader for Hanceville. He can ice the game late with a big time shot and displays determination on every possession. When given the ball, Campbell can get to the rim or hit a quick jumpshot over defenders.
Colin Swindle | 5-11 G | Oneonta
Swindle is a top notch guard for Oneonta and might be their top player entering the season. He can score from anywhere on the court and can hit long-range shots from deep. Swindle can attack the glass at both ends of the floor and plays solid defense.
