Josiah Rickards Josiah Rickards 6'3" | CG Catholic | 2024 State VA | 6’4” | Catholic
Rickards is a very talented wing out of Virginia Beach who will reclassify to the 2024 class and already has division one schools looking at him. At his size, Rickards has an all-around skill set that includes the ability to knock it down from deep, put it on the deck and get in the lane where he can make plays for himself and others he has great instincts on both ends of the floor. He has a good frame and has already filled out a good amount, he can fill it up in bunches and he’s a good athlete that will only get more explosive moving forward.
Zekhi Darden Zekhi Darden 6'5" | SF King's Fork | 2024 State VA | 6’4” | King’s Fork
Darden is a player with the potential to be at the very top of this list with his blend of size, athleticism and the budding skillset that he’s showing as a young prospect. He’s a high motor wing that plays and competes on both ends of the floor, he’s a big time rebounder and can guard multiple positions and his athleticism allows him to make plays most players his age can’t. He’s a good finisher above the rim when he gets downhill and he’s shown the ability to catch and shoot from deep too.
Elijah Kelly Elijah Kelly 6'5" | SF Miller School | 2025 State #235 Nation VA | 6’4” | Radford
Kelley is another high upside wing that has good physical tools already and is at one of the top programs in SWVA with a coach who has produced collegiate players at all levels. He played up with Big Shots Tri-Cities 16U and when I found out he was just a freshman I was immediately intrigued with him as he’s just scratching the surface with how good he can be. He’s long and a smooth athlete, he gets a lot of deflections and moves his feet well and offensively he can put it on the deck and score from multiple levels.
Jake Williams Jake Williams 6'4" | SG Sidwell Friends | 2024 State MD | 6’4” | Bishop O’Connell
One of the top young shooters in a NOVA area that is full of them, Williams is a part of a talented 2024 class at O’Connell that will be a handful to deal with over the next few years. He has good size as a shooter, he has a quick release and deep range and is very consistent as he’ll hit multiple threes in almost every game he’s in. He competes and has a good work ethic and IQ on the floor, and as he rounds his game out he’ll be very intriguing to college coaches.
Kameron Tinsley Kameron Tinsley 6'5" | SF Cave Spring | 2024 State VA | 6’5” | Cave Spring
Tinsley is another intriguing young prospect out of SWVA and looking like one of the best in Roanoke for this class. He’s hit a recent growth spurt and is likely still growing, but he’s retained some of the guard skills he has including his ability to put it on the deck and create shots both in transition and in the half court set. He’s a good athlete and he makes an impact on both ends of the floor, and he has a lot of room for growth moving forward.
