Darren Harris Darren Harris 6'6" | SF Paul VI | 2024 State #59 Nation VA | 6’6” | Paul VI
Harris has already made a name for himself in the WCAC and on the E16 Nike Circuit playing up with Team Takeover 16U and he’s already considered among one of the top shooters in the DMV. At 6’6” he has a big frame and can make shots over smaller players, he has deep range out past the NBA line with ease and his jumper is picture perfect from the feet up. On a talented but young PVI team he’ll be looked at to knock down shots and bring it on both ends, but he seems ready and should be an All WCAC kid for years to come.
Isaiah Abraham Isaiah Abraham 6'7" | SG Paul VI | 2024 State #62 Nation VA | 6’6” | Highland School
When it comes to upside, there aren’t many players that are more intriguing than Abraham who has the size, athleticism and base skill set already that makes him a nightmare on both ends of the floor. He’s extremely explosive already and is likely still growing and will get even more athletic, he can put it on the deck and get to the rim and he can catch and shoot from deep too. He has all the tools to be an elite defender as well and he’ll be a breakout player next year with Highland School.
Dominique Bailey Dominique Bailey 6'2" | SG John Marshall | 2024 State VA | 6’3” | John Marshall
Bailey is one of my favorite players in this class as he’s a gritty and smart player on both ends, and already is one of the top defenders in the state regardless of class. He’s a dog on the defensive end that will deny the other team’s best player and guard them full court, he has excellent instincts on the ball and off the ball as a charge taker and he’ll get in your face and frustrate you the whole game. He’s a hustle guy who makes the dirty plays and offensively he’s improved as an outside shooter and can make plays off the bounce.
Drew Hatter Drew Hatter 6'3" | SG Eastern Mennonite | 2024 State VA | 6’2” | Eastern Mennonite
Hatter, whose older brothers Zach (Bridgewater) and Adam (c/o 2022) have been some of the top players in the Harrisonburg area, is off to a fast start in his career as he’s been a staple of a talented EMHS team since he was in eighth grade. He’s already bigger than his brothers and has the same type of shooting prowess from deep and the same type of feel and understanding of the game as well. He consistently makes the right plays, he competes on both ends and he’s a shot maker with good size that’s likely still growing.
Machi Chester Machi Chester 6'3" | PG Friendship Collegiate | 2024 State MD | 6’3” | Bishop O’Connell
Chester is a very intriguing prospect with a great skillset already as a two guard and also has tons of upside moving forward as well. He doesn’t look like a rising sophomore as he has a great frame and is naturally athletic, he can create and make shots from multiple levels and he has the ability to use his body to finish through traffic when he gets downhill. He’s very good at making tough shots and is a great option late in the shot clock, and with what he already has and his athleticism he could be one of the top
