We might miss a few along the way, but with our continued commitment to giving exposure to young players in this area we will continue. Here’s our list of rising players in this class.
Zion Sensley Zion Sensley 6'8" | SF Archbishop Riordan | 2024 State #124 Nation CA-N 6’7 W/F of Archbishop Riordan HS.
The 6’7 wiry Sensley is a Nationally Ranked player in this class. At 6’7 he has a quality set of skills to rely on. His passing, and vision are a bit underrated right now. He handles well in the open court, and converts inside off the dribble with his length. He has good range on his shot, lengthy arms to defend, and will help on the boards. Not fazed by the attention.
Ahsan Huff Ahsan Huff 6'6" | PF Vanden | 2024 State CA-N 6’6 W/F of Vanden HS.
Huff took a huge step forward in his development as a player. His frame is squaring and he’s playing with confidence. He’s gone from being just a good rebounder, and defender in the post, to a more balanced player, he’s expanded his game. His handles are improved and he’s attacking from the perimeter and in transition. He showed a mid-range jumper. He has work to do, but make no mistake he’s a rising player.
Michael Lewis Jr 6’2 CG of St. Mary’s HS.
Lewis fits the combo mode as well as anybody right now. He has the confidence, and the tools to be effective at either guard spot. He has good concentration to knock down jumpers with a defender guarding him closely. He brings good intensity, doesn’t get rattled, and looks to assert himself when needed. He’s on the Watch List
Marcel Pierre Louise Marcel Pierre Louise 6'6" | PF Head-Royce | 2024 State CA-N 6’6 PF of Head-Royce HS.
Pierre-Louise has raised his game a notch, and has shown good improvement over the summer. The muscular forward works hard on both ends of the court. He is aggressive going after rebounds, and trying to convert around the basket. With improved foot work, and balance, he could be a double-double at this level.
Marcus Washington Marcus Washington 6'6" | PF Modesto Christian | 2024 State CA-N 6’5 PF of Valley Christian HS
We expect Washington to show more of his talents this upcoming season. The bulky forward has good efficiency converting around the basket. His long arms, and a good touch off the glass are noticeable. He attacks well from the baseline using a strong finish, or the short corner jumper. He rebounds, and defends aggressively in the post.
Kevin Haupt Kevin Haupt 5'10" | PG Jesuit | 2024 State CA-N Jr 5’10 Guard of Oakmont HS
Haupt Jr, established himself as a rising player in this 2024 class. The 5’10 guard was a key player, and the teams leading scorer as a Freshman in a 17 game season. He averaged just under 17pts per game, along with 3 assists. He had a season high of 27 pts. He’s not afraid to launch threes, in two separate games he went 5/8 from behind the 3 point line. He’s on the Watch List.
