Danye Frazier Danye Frazier 6'1" | PG Madisonville-North Hopkins | 2023 State KY , Madisonville – A 2022 reclass, Frazier is a high IQ floor general point guard who is at his best when he’s running his team. Danye is an above average defender that can get into passing lanes and create offense from deflections and steals. He still needs to improve his overall aggressiveness and long range shooting but Danye should be on the radar for high academic schools.
Ryan Rose Ryan Rose 6'8" | C Johnson Central | 2023 State KY , Johnson Central – Rose was at Prestonsburg last season but his dad relocated to Johnson Central thanks to a new job. The knock on Ryan last year was he was a little slow and had a weaker upper body that caused him to struggle with finishing around the rim. He’s since bulked up and improved his foot speed and looks like he’ll make a big impact for Johnson Central this season.
Konlin Brown Konlin Brown 5'9" | PG Henry Clay | 2023 State KY , Henry Clay – Like his older brother before him, Brown is being handed the keys to the Henry Clay offense and being told to go make some plays. Brown has the high IQ you expect from a coaches son but also has shown he can knock down shots from deep range and be a pest on defense. Look for Konlin to lead Henry Clay back near the top of the 11th.
Mason Guffey Mason Guffey 6'5" | SF Taylor County | 2023 State KY , Taylor County – A transfer from Grant County, Guffey will have a big role for a Taylor team that needed someone to step in and become a leader. Mason had a strong June of high school ball and camp season before a solid July of AAU and could be one of the biggest impact transfers in the 5th region this season.
David Pfeifer David Pfeifer 6'8" | C Trinity | 2023 State KY , Trinity – The 6’8 Pfeifer played in every game for Trinity last season but only put up 1.5 points and 1.5 rebounds per contest. Still, he earned a scholarship offer from Cumberlands this summer when they were in the gym watching a workout. David had a solid summer with Manimal Elite and could be a difference maker in the 7th thanks to his size.
