Throughout the summer Prep Hoops Ohio has seen college coaches get much more involved in recruiting the class of 2022 and beyond, especially after being able to see these players in person for the first time in almost a year and a half. Some players found the right fit this summer and committed to a variety of programs around the live periods. Sencire Harris Sencire Harris 6'4" | PG St. Vincent-St. Mary | 2022 State #79 Nation OH is the major commit from Ohio recently, as the lead guard will be going to Champaign, Illinois and wear the Orange and Blue of the Fighting Illini. Elmore James Elmore James 6'4" | SG Brush | 2022 State OH committed to Ohio University, as the Bobcats will be getting a great 3 and D prospect. Sage Tolentino Sage Tolentino 7'0" | C Hamilton | 2022 State OH will be staying in Ohio for college as the seven footer announced he will be joining Wes Miller’s program at Cincinnati. Jacob Conner Jacob Conner 6'7" | PF Alter | 2022 State OH had his choice of around 20 schools that offered, but it was Marshall that got the versatile forward. Cleveland State got two commits with Ramar Pryor Ramar Pryor 6'2" | SG St. Vincent-St. Mary | 2022 State OH and Danny Young Jr Danny Young Jr 6'2" | CG Shaker Heights | 2022 State OH both staying close to come to play for the Vikings. Josiah Harris Josiah Harris 6'7" | PF Richmond Heights | 2022 State #243 Nation OH has been committed to West Virginia for a while but I didn’t want to forget him. Carter Valentine Carter Valentine 6'5" | SF Colonel Crawford | 2022 State OH is the first Division II commit from the 2022 class in Ohio that I’m aware of. The 6’5 wing has committed to Ashland, they’ll be getting a very intriguing shooter. The next big pieces to fall from Ohio will be Chris Livingston Chris Livingston 6'6" | SF Oak Hill Academy | 2022 State #9 Nation VA and Sean Jones Sean Jones 5'10" | PG Gahanna | 2022 State #102 Nation OH . Both have lots of interest from high major programs and Livingston could explore professional options out of high school.
