Some prospects are flying under the radar and are about to break out during these events. Here are the top under the prospects to keep an eye on during the circuit events.
Julian Brown Julian Brown 6'1" | PG Bergen Catholic | 2022 State NJ , 6’1 PG Bergen Catholic 2022
Brown had a solid spring for City Rocks, but is ready for a breakout campaign at Peach Jam. The 6’1 guard is a microwave from distance as he can knock down triples in bunches and has a quick release on his jumper. Brown is more than just a shooter as he can also put the ball on the floor and finish around the basket. He is an underrated passer and moves his feet well on the defensive end. Brown’s combination of shooting and ability to run the offense is something that should help his stock in a big way.
Elijah Gertrude Elijah Gertrude 6'4" | SG Hudson Catholic | 2023 State #145 Nation NJ , 6’4 SG Hudson Catholic 2023
Gertrude is looking for a strong next couple of weeks for NJ Legacy as he looks to show off his versatile skillset. The 6’4 guard has a strong frame which he uses to finish around the rim and draw contact. Gertrude is more than just a slasher as he has a nice shooting form and can knock down jumpers from distance. He has the potential to defend multiple positions and is a strong rebounder. Gertrude’s ability to play on both ends of the floor will help him turn heads throughout the month of July.
Jayden Williams Jayden Williams 6'0" | PG Blair Academy | 2024 State NJ , 5’9 PG Blair Academy 2024
Williams is part of a loaded PSA Cardinals backcourt, but he should still be able to make his mark at Peach Jam. The 5’9 guard is lightning quick with the ball in his hands as opponents struggle to stay in front of him. Williams is a good finisher around the basket and has a quick release on his jumper. He is a good passer and moves his feet well on the defensive end. Williams’ combination of speed and talent should stand out throughout his time at Peach Jam.
David Mager David Mager 6'3" | SG Dwight-Englewood | 2022 State NJ , 6’3 SG Dwight Englewood 2022
Mager is looking to have a big UAA session with Team Rio University as he gets to show his ability to make plays. The 6’3 lefty has a smooth release on his jumper and is capable of getting hot from distance. Mager is more than just a shooter as he can put the ball on the floor and finish around the rim. He is an underrated defender and does not mind drawing contact on his way to the basket. Mager can affect the offense in different ways, which should help his stock during the UAA season.
Jackson Tindall Jackson Tindall 6'7" | PF St. Peter's Prep | 2024 NLG , 6’6 SF St. Peter’s Prep 2023
Tindall has the opportunity for a breakout July with the NJ Scholars at Peach Jam. The 6’6 wing is comfortable on the perimeter as his range extends past the three-point line and can put the ball on the floor. Tindall can finish above the rim strong and has an underrated mid-range game. He has the length to defend multiple positions and is a strong rebounder. Tindall’s combination of length, shooting and athleticism makes him an intriguing prospect to watch this month.
