Robert Dillingham Robert Dillingham 6'2" | CG Donda Academy | 2023 #9 Nation CA-S – 2023 – PG – CP3
The five-star prospect looked the part in Saturday night’s win over 1Family. Dillingham is a crafty shot creator with a ton of tricks on the ball. The 6-foot-1 guard can knock down contested shots, even when falling away from the hole. Dillingham pushed the tempo all game long and played at a pace that the opposition just couldn’t keep up with. While he plays fast, Dillingham is never in a hurry. He’s always under control, makes good decisions with the basketball, and creates a lot of offense early in possessions. North Carolina, Texas, Florida, Kansas, Wake Forest, N.C. State, Pittsburgh, Clemson, and others have all offered here.
Braden Huff Braden Huff 6'11" | PF Glenbard West | 2022 State #58 Nation IL – 2022 – PF – Illinois Wolves
Huff had 17 points, nine rebounds, and three assists in a win on Saturday morning. Loved his impact in the middle of the zone as a decision maker. Huff didn’t panic when defenders swarmed him and made every right play in terms of whether to attack the teeth of the defense or skip the ball over the top to 3-point shooters. Huff is one of the most versatile bigs in the country. He plays a lot of point forward for the Illinois Wolves. The 6-foot-10 forward has a sweet stroke from 3-point range and can dish the ball. Think Huff is also a very solid 1-on-1 defender on the block. Doesn’t block a lot of shots, but is very hard to score over the top of. Illinois, Creighton, Vanderbilt, Northwestern, Minnesota, and Wisconsin are some of the schools chasing the top 100 prospect in July.
Dylan James – 2023 – F – 1 Family
This kid played really well in a high level contest against CP3. James is a plus length, explosive, 6-foot-8 forward. He had the gym jumping with a putback slam in the first half and his motor never shut off the entire 40 minutes. James gets off the ground very quickly and is a terrific shot blocker and finisher around the rim. Some big time athlete came at James at the rim and he met them at the summit with force. He can also shoot the 3, which makes him even more intriguing. James had no problem getting to the wing in transition and letting it fly with a hand in his face. James has offers from Mississippi State, Georgetown, South Florida, Virginia Tech, Creighton, and likely isn’t done.
Demerius Shakur Demerius Shakur 6'2" | CG Martin Luther | 2023 State WI – 2023 – PG – Wisconsin Playground Club
Doesn’t score a ton of points, but Shakur can run a team. Really like his point guard instincts, especially in the pick n’ roll. Shakur reads defenders really well and can find the open man, even when he’s getting swarmed. Needs to keep working on his jumper, but Shakur can get downhill and attack the rim. He’s got really good positional size at 6-foot-3 and continues to be a top 10 prospect in Wisconsin’s 2023 class.
Luther Smith Luther Smith 6'1" | SG Sussex Hamilton | 2023 State WI – 2023 – G – Wisconsin Playground Club
Smith went off near the end of the first half in a blowout win over D.C. Premier. Scoring 14 points in the final few minutes of the second quarter, Smith’s outburst all but put the game away. The Sussex Hamilton guard will undoubtedly be one of the bigger breakout players in the state next season. Smith is a dangerous shooter with near unlimited range. Picking up his first offer from Louisiana-Monroe last month, Smith is an instant offense type prospect that gets the green light whenever he enters the game.
Etienne Strothers – 2023 – G – Boo Williams
Strothers just plays hard. He’s got skill, but loved the way he scrapped for loose balls, didn’t give up anything defensively, and made the offense work for everything they got. The 6-foot guard has offers from East Tennessee State, Hampton, and Mount St. Mary’s. Strothers is a playmaker on offense. Didn’t take a lot of shots, but played with his head up and always seemed to put his teammates in positions to be successful.
Nolan Winter – 2022 – F – Howard Pulley
Winter had 17 points in a tight loss to Boo Williams. Once again, the 6-foot-8 forward shot the ball really well from the outside and continues to be very efficient, despite not getting a ton of touches. Think Winter is a kid that has a chance to rapidly develop over the next year. The more you watch him, the more you see these subtle flashes of a mismatch nightmare. Winter is doing more off the dribble and on the move, instead of being just a stretch forward. Still needs to get bigger and stronger in order to play around the rim at the high major level on both ends, but Winter isn’t even close to done growing into his body, which should have college programs excites. Minnesota and Wisconsin have both made early offers to Winter.
