2022 Top 3-point Snipers:
1. Treysen Eaglestaff Treysen Eaglestaff 6'5" | SF Bismark | 2022 State ND |6-5 SF| Bismarck/D1 Minnesota – This future UND Fighting Hawk is a gifted shooter. Treysen has a beautiful stroke with nice elevation and perfect balance. Eaglestaff can hit triples off the bounce, in transition, trailing, spacing, pick-and-pop, using screens, and step-backs. If you name it, this kid can do it! He shot very well this past high school season. Treysen has proved he can do it at the national level with D1 Minnesota in AAU as well. Look for this elite shooter to light up Class-A next season and be one of the favorites for Mr. Basketball.
2. Jayden Yankton Jayden Yankton 6'1" | SG Four Winds/Minnewaukan | 2022 State ND |6-1 SG| Four Winds/Minnewaukan – He is a no-nonsense shooter from beyond the arc. If you give Jayden a breath of fresh air, he will drill the triple. Yankton is a natural and effortless shooter. He makes knocking down threes look easy. He can hit the 3-ball off the dribble or catch-and-shoot. I like how quick his release is, but he does not hurry the shot. Jayden’s shot looks the same every time. Expect a huge shooting year out of Mr. Yankton. In my opinion, he is the best 3-point shooter in Class-B.
3. Brett Limke Brett Limke 6'1" | PG West Fargo | 2022 State ND |6-1 PG| West Fargo
He is a calm and cool shooter from the outside. When watching him I can never tell if his team is up or down. He shoots it with ice in his veins. Brett might have the best pull-up 3-point jumper in North Dakota. Much like others on this list, Limke never rushes his shot. Brett’s release is ultra-soft and is follow-through is perfect. There is never a moment too big for this reigning State Champion. Look for him to be in upper-echelon next season in 3’s made.
4. Kaleb Larson Kaleb Larson 6'3" | SG West Fargo Sheyenne | 2022 State ND |6-3 SG| West Fargo Sheyenne/ECI – Kaleb has been cashing in three’s all spring and summer with ECI in AAU basketball. He has mega-range. Larson’s shooting range can go out to NBA 3-point depth. He is great at spacing the floor and shooting in rhythm. Kaleb is another shooter that makes it look easy. With him being a bigger guard he will be able to get his shot off against shorter matchups. The Mustangs have plenty of size and depth inside. If teams help at all off Larson it will be like shooting fish in the barrel for this gunslinger. Do not the forget the name Kaleb Larson Kaleb Larson 6'3" | SG West Fargo Sheyenne | 2022 State ND , he is a 3-point assassin.
5. (3-way tie)
Nate Fedorchak Nate Fedorchak 6'1" | SG Bismarck St. Mary's | 2022 State ND |6-2 SG| Bismarck St. Mary’s/ND Phenom – He has a buttery-smooth release. Nate makes is rain 3’s on a regular basis. Fedorchak is a skilled lefty when it comes to catching and shooting. He spaces the floor with his hands and feet ready to fire. Fedorchak has an error-free shooting form and that soft touch. He has also shot it well all summer with Phenom. Look out for this flame thrower in the WDA next season.
Tyler Kraft Tyler Kraft 6'2" | SG Shanley | 2022 State ND |6-3 SG| Fargo Shanley/Next Level Basketball Academy
When I first saw him play this summer in team camps with Shanley the first thing I thought was “wow, his shot looks really great”. He had a fine year shooting this past year. However, it looks like Tyler has taken the next step in his game. His strength and confidence have certainly improved. I really like the way he elevates, it is as if he is shooting out of a phone booth. I have been very impressed with how quick he sets his feet when catching to shoot, very good work. I like the way he spaces without the ball and how he reacts to the defense. Get ready for Kraft to be a notable player in the EDC and one of the top 3-point snipers.
Zach Hendrickson Zach Hendrickson 6'0" | PG Our Redeemer's | 2022 State ND |6-0 PG| Our Redeemer’s/ECI – Him and Limke have the best pull-up jumpers from 3-point land at the guard position in ND. If the defense goes under ball screens, Hendrickson will drill it and make them pay. As he is great off the dribble, Zach is equally impressive when catching and shooting. He has an excellent high release that helps him get his shot off when he has a hand in his face. When handling the rock, I love the way he keeps the defense off balance by changing speeds. When he does this, it enables him to shake the D and pull up for the triple. In my book he Zach is the best 3-point shooting PG in Class-B. Expect this Knight to have a huge senior season knocking down treys.
