Lance Waddles, 6’4 Guard, OWE, 2022: The motor does not stop for Waddles on either end of the floor. Fly’s around on defense, pressures the ball, and defensive rebound while being non stop on the offensive end attacking opponents and getting great looks from the field. Tremendous scorer and shooter of the basketball as well while being a tough shot maker.
Leland Walker, 5’10 Point Guard, Team Teague (Pictured), 2022: One of my favorite guards to watch on the Prep Hoops Circuit because of his leadership in the back court, toughness, and skill level. Smaller guard who packs a ton of punch in his game and plays a physical, aggressive style of hoops. Finishes in a variety of ways and is a tough play maker for his teammates. Is up there with the top guards.
Jalen Collins, 5’9 Point Guard, North Houston Bandits, 2022: First game I saw on the weekend featured Collins, who set the tone early in the back court. Returned to the ball game after taking a shot to the nose and got bandaged up and brought it even more. Hit a ton of big shots from distance, and got into the painted area. Great vocal leader as well. Puts pressure on the opposing ball handler as well and is super quick.
Marquel Saleek, 6’2 Guard, Illinois Hoopstars-Taylor, 2022: Plays with a ton of aggression and pace with the ball in his hands. Rarely gets phased in games and continues to play hard and aggressive. Communicates with his team on the floor and gets them involved. Got to the foul line a ton off of drives and was guarding the ball at a high level.
I’Ryan Allen I’Ryan Allen 6'2" | PG Ruskin | 2022 State MO , 6’1 Guard, KC Spurs Black, 2022: Allen had the gym rocking with back to back huge threes to get his team back into the ball game late against the Bama Celtics. Plays with a great motor all of the time, makes great decisions in transition, has shot the ball really well, and plays with a ton of passion and toughness. Always a fun guard to watch play, especially with this Spurs team.
