Here are four solid prospects from both age groups.
Ladarius Wallace, Southern Indiana Blaze 2023: Over the weekend, the 5-foot-9 point guard showed his quickness as defenders had a hard time staying in front of him. Wallace is a guard that can thrive in transition and in the half-court. His quickness, along with his solid ball handles, helps him get into the lane with ease. Wallace’s ability to have his defenders dancing made him stand out at The Stage.
Hayden Thompson, STARS Basketball-North: Thompson wasn’t the only one who helped the STARS Basketball-North get a win over Chapman-North 2023 on Sunday. The 6-5 shooting guard did a lot of great things. He hustled for loose balls, played defense, crashed the boards, attacked the rim and knocked down shots from the perimeter. Thompson had 18 points in the win.
Crews Butler, Life Changers 2024: Butler had one of his best games of the weekend against ABC Basketball 2024. His 22 points led the team in scoring. At 6-0, Butler does more at his height. Butler lives more in the paint than he does on the perimeter. He loves to crash the boards for putbacks and makes a high clip of 3s from the corner. Butler’s weekend was productive enough that people should start paying more attention to him.
Murray Norman Murray Norman 6'3" | SG Munford | 2024 State TN , Life Changers 2024: Norman played with an injured thumb on Sunday, and yet, he scored 18 points against ABC Basketball 2024. Norman wasn’t his usual self from the perimeter, but he was effective in the paint. Like Butler, Norman was getting putbacks. He was also knocking down elbow jumpers. Norman, simply, didn’t allow his thumb to keep him out of action. Norman just showed everyone his toughness as a basketball player.
