As the month of July gets into full swing, the Prep Hoops Circuit heads to Birmingham, Alabama. This is the first of several Prep Hoops events in the Midwest as we converge onto the Grit Region Finals in Indianapolis at the end of the month. There were a ton of very intriguing games over the weekend, and now, let’s take a look at some of the 2024 Standouts from the state of Indiana.

 

LaMontae Cross LaMontae Cross 5'10" | PG Gary 21st | 2024 IN - 2024 PG - Gary 21st Century (94 Feet Elite 2024)

Cross is a smaller, quick point guard who did many things well this past weekend in Birmingham. He is a good ball-handler, and he has good court vision which allows him to find his spots on the floor. He also has good touch around the rim although he struggled to finish a couple of opportunities inside. Cross does have very good hands on the defensive end of the floor, and he came up with several steals over the entire weekend.
