Zion Sanders Arkansas Takeover: Sanders was one of the best ball handlers in his age division this weekend. His dribble combo’s were simply impressive. Sanders is able to break you down with his dribble and get by you with his speed. Not many defenses were able to contain him when he got downhill. Sanders has a lethal crossover. He’s ultra athletic and a great competitor. This translates to the defensive end, too, where he is a lock down defender.
Zack Kublanov Arkansas Takeover: Kublanov is a pure shooter. He is a dead-eye from behind the three point line and showed it this weekend. Off the catch he is lethal and he also displayed his ability to dribble into three pointers too. Kublanov hit big three after big three this weekend as he put on a shooting clinic. He also has other aspects to his game, like his floater. He’s able to stop on a time and has nice touch around the rim.
Braeden Clinton OKC Swift: Clinton had an awesome weekend for OKC Swift. He was the lead guard for his squad and displayed many qualities of a great point guard. Clinton has a great first step that made him so hard to guard. He’s quick off the dribble and gets to the rim with ease. He used an in and out dribble this weekend and worked it to perfection. Clinton is a shot creator and has a smooth step back jumper. He proved this weekend he’s a reliable scorer.
Dawson Parker NextLevel: Parker was a pure scorer this weekend for NextLevel. He can truly score at all three levels and displayed each level every time he played. He finishes strong at the rim and is a great offensive rebounder. He had a great midrange game and used nice touch. Parker also shot the ball really well from deep, too, making multiple threes in most games. He’s also crafty with his finishes, as he had several nice euro-steps that led to buckets in transition.
Jamarion Hamilton Team Movement: Hamilton was locked in on both ends this past weekend. What impressed me the most was his energy on the defensive end. He did a great job denying the pass and got a few steals leading to wide open fast break layups. Hamilton also has a solid looking jump shot and will shoot from deep too. He’s a great guard to have in transition as he really pushes the pace with the ball in his hands but can also spot up and shoot.
