In the 10th grade division, the Tuscaloosa Kings were lead by great all-around games from Taylor Halperin and Walker McKee overcame a dominant offensive performance from Ryan Mobley to take the title over the Columbus Wolves 50-47. In the High School division (11-12th grade), Team TTG lead by Anthony “Pig” Johnson scratched and clawed to a 1-point victory over the West Alabama Elite to bring home first place. The overall tournament was a huge success with plenty of elite talent, and evenly matched teams which made the action as competitive as it gets. Below are the players that stood out and made the All-Tournament team.
First Team:
Anthony “Pig” Johnson, 6’2 SG (MVP): Pig led his team to an undefeated weekend with high flying dunks, an elite three-point shot, and plenty of amazing finishes at the rim. This kid is big time.
