That’s fine for the bouncy 6-foot-2 guard from Benson as he knows that may change this month. Bradford is ready to hit the ground running with AAU basketball after putting together a solid sophomore campaign with the Techmen.
“I had a bigger role and I had to step up a little bit,” Bradford said. “I got better with my shooting and I’ve been trying to be more of a point guard.”
On the year, Bradford averaged 19.1 points, 9.7 rebounds, and 3.1 assists – numbers a bit higher than his debut freshman campaign. A slasher who finshes at the rim, he assumed a lot of Benson’s ball-handling roles up top, but still managed to be one of the best rebounding guards in the state on both ends of the floor.
Bradford is hoping to grab more attention from college coaches. He has heard from Idaho State ever since the first day D-I coaches could start calling and has appreciated the interest. Bradford is staying open with all options and is looking forward to playing in the AAU tournaments this month. He played with Dynasty at the Battle in Seattle in Cantralia but will now suit up with Oregon Prospects in Irvine this weekend.
“We have a lot of talent,” Bradford said. “So it’s going to be as far as we want to go.”
Bradford currently ranks as the #4 player in the PrepHoops Oregon Class of 2023 rankings.
