PrepHoopsTN Combine Evaluations
The annual @PrepHoopsTN Summer Combine featured nearly 50 aspiring college prospects. For the rest of July we will be featuring the campers with evaluations and measurements from the day.
Look for the next combine in September of 2021, this time in middle Tennessee!
Riley Everett Riley Everett 6'4" | SF William Blount | 2023 State TN | 6’4” SF | William Blount
Strong. Riley gifted the PrepHoopsTN Summer Combine with toughness and talent. His strengths are ability to score in the pocket and shoot under duress. Facing a slew of guards and wings, Everett was able to rebound consistently and get his own around the rim. Everett’s athleticism and speed suggests shooting guard/small forward is his ultimate position beyond high school. Sound perimeter defender. Beyond high school Everett should use his upper body advantage even more assertively to determine drivers. Everett can guard a college 2 or 3, possibly a slower point guard.

Riley Everett Riley Everett 6'4" | SF William Blount | 2023 State TN devotes himself to both the gym and the gym (weights). It helps him rebound better than his peers. Everett’s time in the lane agility landed him 22nd on the day, and 2nd among players 6-foot-3 or taller. His feet are fast, but certainly could be quicker to enable him to guard multiple positions (1-3). That versality will increase his value to recruiters. Small college ball is a wonderful level for Everett. He can help a team with shooting, defending, and strength.
John Allen John Allen 6'1" | PG Van Buren County | 2022 State TN | 6’1” PG | Van Buren County | Tennessee Blazers 17u

NBA Stylistic Comparison: 1997 Jazz John Stockton
College Projection: NAIA
Athleticism is average for a college prospect. His sprint speed was among the best in camp though his lane agility ranked below the middle. Change of direction needs to improve, especially because John is a classic point guard charged with defending the quickest players on the court both now and beyond high school.
John is a terrific passer with an unselfishness that really thrived and encouraged his teammates to thrive. Allen not only sees things that most guards don’t see, he makes the passes sharp and on-time if not early. He makes the skip pass, the penetrating pass. He is very unselfish and also
He can shoot. He is a solid catch-and-shoot guy. He can hit ok off the dribble. He did not finish at the rim often, not that he couldn’t do it, but he spent much more time feeding and facilitating. Good basketball mind.
