We’re looking at teams from 4 different states so good luck tracking them once their school ball season begins. Luckily you’ll have the scoop on how these 2024 prospects are progressing.
Pluto
James Pulliam – Pulliam’s shooting as a rising 6-6 sophomore is intriguing. He busted Razorback Elite’s zone while being the tallest kid on his team.
Max Howery – I like the way Howery scores around the rim. He consistently cut through the defense to make crafty lay ups. His handle is tight and at 6 foot he’s worth tracking as he enters the upcoming high school season.
Swish Chicago
I’m almost surprised I’m not including the entire team in this entry. Programs like this exemplify the depth in the Chicago area.
JJ Hernandez – Hernandez hosted a block party. Whether he was smacking shots off the glass or out of the hands of an offensive player going for a layup, he was a deterrent for Team United Texas. He’s an athletic 6-6 forward who scores well in transition. In the half court, that athleticism earned him trips to the free throw from drives.
Richard Lindsey – Lindsey took several rebounds coast to coast. At 6-3 he’s a quick guard that scores in transition.
Tyler Shaver – Shaver seems to be a solid shooter at this stage in the game. He hit a catch and shoot corner three, and the next sidestepped a defender for another.
Tavariyan Williams – The 6-4 guard has the body and athleticism to play good perimeter defense. He moves his feet and his long arms keep him in the offensive player’s breadbasket. He scores well off movement hitting a floater and stepback jumper over tight defense.
Reeise Remmer – In limited minutes on day 1 Remmer produced on both ends. He picked up two blocks on one end and scored with a hard roll on the other.
Team United Texas Black
Keylyn Sanders – Newman Smith has an interesting guard-forward waiting to return to school. He’s still developing as a player but at 6-4, he has the physical tools to compete at the varsity level. He shot the gap for a steal and absorbed contact when driving to the hole.
Razorbacks
Cameron Carrol – When we talk about the straw that stirs the drink, we talk about Carrol. He’s a quick point guard that can create for himself and others thanks to his advanced handle.
Team United Texas Yellow
Damon Nash – Nash has good size for a guard at 6-1. He also showed a mechanically sound jumper to go along with a decent frame.
Dean La Point – This 2024 forward showed good timing on his blocks. He collected four well before halftime. Currently listed at 6-5 La Point may help Allen get back to its if he continues to grow.
Tristen Hicks – Another 6-1 guard that plays off the ball for Team United Texas. He showed creativity with the ball in his hands by using a behind-the-back dribble to create separation for his drive.
