Reed Sheppard Reed Sheppard 6'3" | PG North Laurel | 2023 State #22 Nation KY (2023) Midwest Basketball Club 3SSB
Prep Hoops 2k21 was the first time for me seeing Sheppard and he did not disappoint. Technically a Kentucky player but we are considering him in this Ohio piece since he played for an Ohio AAU team. Showed good chemistry with his teammates. Trusted guys and was a good passer for a guard in the 2 spot. Active hands on the defensive end and on-ball. Good movement on both ends. Receiving heavy interest at the HM level.
Jadon Coles Jadon Coles 6'3" | SF Lakota East | 2022 State OH (2022) Midwest Basketball Club-Adkins (Lakota East)
Coles has good size for a 2G standing at 6’3 and athletic as hell. Shot the ball confidently and much better than last time I saw him. Combo scorer that can knock down midrange/perimeter shots but can also easily beat guys off the bounce. Defensively sound and understands the movements and physicality needed to excel at the next level. Committed this week to Thomas More University.
Nate Dudokovich (2023) Midwest Basketball Club 3SSB (Lakota West)
Simply put, Dudokovich is a shooter. It helps when you have one of the best PGs in Kentucky setting you up for shots. Dudokovich gets his feet set in catch-and-shoot situations, gettings shots up with great mechanics and release. Demonstrated the ability to hit shots in either the midrange or 3PT range on the perimeter. Clearly excels with a pass-first type of PG in the system.
Julian Mitchell Julian Mitchell 6'5" | SF Lakota East | 2023 State OH (2023) Midwest Basketball Club Gold (Lakota East)
Mitchell picked up where he left off the last time I watched him in June with Lakota East. Nice size at 6’4. Lengthy. Understands his role on the offensive end and more of a setup guy than a scoring threat. Defense is where he makes the most impact as he utilized his longer arms to get his hands on several poor perimeter passes. Moves well on-ball additionally. Being part of Lakota East’s program means this guy is going to be a target for colleges moving forward.
Bradyn Szczepaniak (2023) OBC (St. Ignatius)
Sunday served as my first time viewing Bradyn in an AAU setting. Like his build and size at 6’4. Defensively played the correct way with his feet only. Initiated contact on dribble drives. Showed he can be a threat on the offensive end with his shooting mechanics and range
