This class has the chance to be one of the strongest in recent memory, and a lot of that has to do with the depth and quality of the Point Guards. In this article, we take a look at the top Floor Generals in the class of 2024.
DJ Thomas DJ Thomas 6'2" | PG Liberty | 2024 #19 Nation NV 6’0 Liberty #1 – Thomas isn’t just the number 1 player in a loaded state class, he has the drive and determination to be one of the top players Nationally. A new generation, throwback PG, Thomas dissects opponents with his passing and floor generalship. He also possesses the ability to light up the scoreboard with his 3 point shooting.
John Mobley Jr John Mobley Jr 6'0" | PG Wasatch Academy | 2024 State #55 Nation UT 5’11 Bishop Gorman #6 (featured image) – Mobley is one of the most entertaining players in the state. His wiggle and shooting are must see. Mobley can stop on a dime or change directions in an instant. The scoring PG can also provide a lift for his team with his paint touch and playmaking ability.
Alijah Adem Alijah Adem 6'2" | PG Spring Valley | 2024 State #174 Nation NV 6’0 Spring Valley #8 – The scoring machine is yet another example of the depth of the class. Adem has one of the tightest handles in the group, and he uses it to create for himself. It’s not uncommon to find him shaking free behind the arc and then launching a deep trey. The consummate team leader, Adem is the engine of a Chosen Few squad with a reputation for taking home titles.
Jordon Cosby Jordon Cosby 5'9" | CG Spring Valley | 2024 State NV 5’9 Spring Valley #19 – Cosby is one of the top floor spacing PGs in the state. The shooter, is a deadly three-point marksman, with the ability to get hot fast. When it’s time to play his PG role, he is more than adept at playing P&R offense or driving and kicking. He and Adem will form one of the top backcourts in the state next year.
Tru Coleman 5’10 Democracy Prep #21 – One of the top defensive PGs in the class is Coleman. The two-way PG plays with a great burst and uses it effectively on both ends. Coleman is equally effective when playing out in transition, as his speed and quickness allow him to get out in front and finish.
