Several players used strong Springs to rise in the rankings. In this article, a follow up to Stockrisers Part 1 we take a look at some of the stockrisers on the list.
Ryan Hannig Ryan Hannig 5'10" | CG Lincoln Co | 2023 State NV 5’10 CG The Meadows School #23 – Hannig is one of my favorite players to watch in the state. Every time I see him, I’m blown away by his speed with the ball in his hands. Hannig is one of the fastest players end to end and racks up points in bunches when in transition. He is part of a solid Nucleus for a Meadows Squad that is one of the favorites in 2A.
LJ Mercurius LJ Mercurius 6'3" | SF Faith Lutheran | 2023 State NV 6’3 SF The Meadows School #24 (featured image) – I was impressed with the improvement I saw in Mercurius a few weeks ago. He’s always been a good athlete in both the modern and traditional sense of the word. What’s new in his game, is that the multi-sport athlete has increased his offensive skill set, which includes improved ballhandling, and outside shooting.
Kollin Ngo Kollin Ngo 6'2" | CG Silverado | 2023 State NV 5’10 CG Boulder City #30 – I’ve gotten to see quite a bit of NGO on our circuit and every time I watch him I like him just a little more. He has risen in the rankings primarily due to his ability to score in transition and create shots for himself while playing with All Vegas.
Collier Roberts Collier Roberts 6'3" | SF Foothill | 2023 State NV 6’3 SF Coronado #39 – I’ve been impressed with Roberts’s skill and unselfishness. Out of necessity, he plays a lot in the frontcourt but possesses backcourt skills. Roberts has good vision and does a good job of delivering the basketball to cutting teammates. He also knows how to score on his own, utilizing a good 1st step and a nice spin move when driving in the lane.
Sean Gosse Sean Gosse 6'2" | PF Meadows | 2023 State NV 6’2 PF The Meadows School #50 – Goose may end up being one of the unsung heroes for the Mustangs this year. He’s risen in the rankings primarily because of his versatility. The undersized post rebounds, defends, and stretches the floor for his squad.
Justyn Delziet Justyn Delziet 5'11" | SG Green Valley | 2023 State NV 5’11 SG Green Valley #60 – JDZ is one of the most underrated shooters in the city. The two sports athlete has a strap and no conscience. It is not uncommon to see Del Ziet taking and making NBA range 3’s.
