This event was just a warmup for the active month ahead for many of players participating in tournaments during the live period. Some of the players who had a good weekend were as follow.
Malachi Palmer Malachi Palmer 6'6" | SF Mt. Zion Prep | 2024 #53 Nation MD -G-2024-Central Dauphin High School
Malachi was impressive during the tournament with his shooting and playmaking ability. He showed why he is ranked in the Top 25 Nationwide in his class. With the absence of his teammate Derik Queen, Malachi helped guide his Team Thrill AAU club through the tournament. I am very excited to see what he is going to do in the month of July.
Raymond English-G-2021-Baltimore Polytechnic Institute
Raymond is a 6’0, 180 pound guard who displayed his quickness and aggressiveness throughout the tournament. Offensively he handled the ball very well, made great passes, and finished around the rim with and without contact. Raymond is very strong using the pick and roll to create shots for himself or assisting his teammates. Defensively, he can create on the ball pressure and turnovers. Raymond is exciting to see and if he continues working on his perimeter shot, he will attract many D1-D2 offers.
Seth Harold-G-2022-Alexandria City High School
Seth is a 6’1, 165 pound combo guard who loves to take over when the game is on the line. I love this kids will-to-win. Offensively, Seth can handle the ball and finish in traffic. When he gets the ball in transition, he plays with his head up and looks to attack the basket. Defensively, Seth can impact the game with his quickness and anticipation. If he continues to work on his perimeter shot, he will attract many D2-D3 schools.
Tre Stott-G-2023-Watkins Mill High School
Tre is a 6’4, 175 pound shooting guard who likes to get above the rim in transition. Offensively, he has a quick first step and can create with his ball handling ability. On defense, his length and quickness allows him to defend guards and small forwards. If he continues to work on his shot behind the arc, he will draw many D1 schools.
Daniel Dormu-G-2023-Word of Life Christian (VA)
5’9, 168 pound Daniel Dormu continued to impress this weekend with his offensive playmaking and leadership skills. He showed his improvement on his 3-point range, as he knocked down a few shots well beyond the 3-point line. His floor awareness is above average and he is very exciting to watch. The game appears to come easy for him. Defensively, he is quick and strong enough to guard players at both guard positions. I can’t wait to see what he does during the live period. Keep an eye on this guy, because his stock is rising!
