Taye Moore | 5’9 G | Nebraska United 2024
Taye Moore established himself early on Sunday in his game. Knocking down a couple of threes and getting to the rim with ease. He was a threat from everywhere. Moore had hit some really deep shots and continued to do so all game. He stayed calm in the full court pressure and never panicked. The biggest thing for me that I enjoyed watching in Moore’s game was how he finished at the rim. He had quite a few circus finishes, whether a foul was called or not he finished consistently.
Jacoby Mehrman | 6’3 G | South Dakota Network 2024 Sean
Jacoby is the definition of an unselfish point guard. Standing at 6’3 most would think he was more of a small forward or power forward but believe me he can play both those spots and did this weekend. I was surprised myself seeing him bring the ball up possession after possession. After getting more into the game though I understood why. Jacoby consistently found his team mates when they were open whether it was a low post feed or a corner three. He also showed off his jumper a bit in the game as well knocking down three or four threes. When Jacoby noticed a smaller guard on him he immediately demanded the ball from the block and went up strong from the left or right side.
Mynor Strong | 5’10 G | Team Factory
Although only 5’10 Mynor has a lot of length and use his long strides to get by defenders on his drives. He got to the rim in a very quick fashion and had exceptional finishes at the rim. Later in the first half he started knocking down some deep balls too. One three he shot that rimmed out was even a few feet beyond the arc which showed me he has a lot of confidence in his jumper. Strong had a few steals as well and great hands on the defensive end.
Kendall Hinton | 6’4 F | Nebraska United 2024
I loved the way Hinton ran the five for his very scrappy Nebraska United squad. He has a huge frame and used it to his advantage when posting up a defender or finishing at the rim. Kendall has a very big presence down low and that was the biggest thing for me that stuck out. Teams were constantly doubling down on him and trying to deny touches. Not only did he finish through some contact or split double teams but relocated where he could get the ball and either get to the rim on kick to the open man.
Fletcher Morris | 6’4 F | Team Factory 2024
Morris scored at all three levels during his Sunday matchup. Hitting three or four deep balls early on Sunday, the three stopped falling for him later on in the game. Morris then proceeded to convert on some mid range jumpers and utilize his height down low. He had some great low post moves opening up layups for him in the second half. He is very long and that helped Factory a lot defensively with some tipped passes which lead to turnovers.
