Josiah Harris Josiah Harris 6'7" | PF Richmond Heights | 2022 State #243 Nation OH and Sean Jones Sean Jones 5'10" | PG Gahanna | 2022 State #102 Nation OH were bright spots for 17U as they proved themselves against elite competition. Their 16U squad had much more success, making a run to the elite 8 before being knocked out. Devin Royal Devin Royal 6'6" | PF Pickerington Central | 2023 State #49 Nation OH , Dailyn Swain Dailyn Swain 6'7" | SF Africentric | 2023 State #81 Nation OH , Lawrent Rice Lawrent Rice 6'4" | PG Huber Heights Wayne | 2023 State #184 Nation OH and Sonny Styles Sonny Styles 6'4" | SF Pickerington Central | 2023 OH all got numerous offers after the Peach Jam. 15U made it to the Peach Jam, but went 0-3 in pool play after a 6-2 record in the EYBL pool play. Tyler McKinley Tyler McKinley 6'9" | PF Winton Woods | 2024 State #78 Nation OH was a dominant force for Red in the paint and Mason Shrout Mason Shrout 6'4" | SF Preble Shawnee | 2024 State OH and Jonathan Powell Jonathan Powell 6'5" | SG Centerville | 2024 State #164 Nation OH had big time scoring games from the wing position. Bates Fundamentals has a couple Ohio prospects on both their 17U and 16U teams. Unfortunately neither could advance to the Peach Jam. On the Adidas circuit, Midwest Basketball Club was the talk of the town. Their 17U program was led by a pair of 2023 guards in Reed Sheppard and Gabe Cupps Gabe Cupps 6'1" | PG Centerville | 2023 State #80 Nation OH . Both prospects got high major offers this summer from their impressive play. Pretty much every prospect on Midwest Basketball Club 17U 3SSB has their pick of many offers, with Logan Woods Logan Woods 6'4" | SG Fairfield | 2022 State OH choosing Wright State. 16U had some up and down play, with a major lack of size in the paint. Jacob Meyer and shooters like Nathan Dudukovich Nathan Dudukovich 6'2" | SG Lakota West | 2023 State OH and Jack Kronauge Jack Kronauge 6'1" | SG St Xavier | 2023 State OH stood out this summer. Down at the 15U level, Kingston Land from Moeller, a 2025 prospect was very impressive. Midwest Basketball Club did have some impressive outings from 2024 prospects including Ben Menker Ben Menker 6'5" | SF Mason | 2024 State OH and AJ McBride AJ McBride 6'5" | SF Moeller | 2024 State OH . Wildcats Select had a strong spring, but losing Sencire Harris Sencire Harris 6'4" | PG St. Vincent-St. Mary | 2022 State #79 Nation OH to injury and Shawn Phillips to Bates Fundamentals hurt them in July. Jacob Conner Jacob Conner 6'7" | PF Alter | 2022 State OH committed to Marshall and Roderick Coffee Roderick Coffee 6'4" | SG Spire | 2022 State OH built up some recruiting momentum from their 17U program. Their 16U program was headlined by 2025 prospect Darryn Peterson, who unfortunately suffered an injury before I was able to see that team in person. Their 15U team only had two Ohio prospects, Jacob Theodosiou Jacob Theodosiou 6'4" | PG Western Reserve Academy | 2024 #146 Nation OH got offered by a couple Division I programs this summer. On the Under Armour circuit, C2K 17U had Danny Young Jr Danny Young Jr 6'2" | CG Shaker Heights | 2022 State OH commit to Cleveland State and Keyshawn Hall Keyshawn Hall 6'6" | PF Cleveland Heights | 2021 State OH blow up with almost a dozen offers in the past two weeks alone. For 16U Chico Johnson Chico Johnson 6'2" | SG Toledo Central Catholic | 2023 State OH built on his impressive offer list and Bede Lori Bede Lori 6'2" | SG Caldwell | 2023 State OH and CJ Hornbeak CJ Hornbeak 6'2" | SG Toledo St. John's | 2023 State OH were individually impressive as well. 15U C2K was their most successful team record wise, as Keven Adorno Keven Adorno 5'10" | PG Princeton | 2023 State OH , Jesse McCulloch Jesse McCulloch 6'9" | PF Lutheran East | 2024 State #136 Nation OH and Alex Bruskotter Alex Bruskotter 6'7" | PF Shelby | 2024 State #316 Nation OH stood out as top performers. There are many more programs that had great summers and got players offers, but this was just to look at how Ohio teams fared on the top shoe circuit leagues.
