Nate Kindred Nate Kindred 6'4" | SG South Salem | 2022 SD , Oregon Prospects 2022 (2022 South Salem)
We are disappointed we didn’t get to see South Salem this season as we would have gotten a good sense of Kindred and his physical game. The 6-foot-4 swingman played with grit and tenacity on both ends of the floor and wasn’t afraid to mix it up when needed. He didn’t just throw his body around either as Kindred showed good skill on his shot and knocked down several, including a few beyond three-point range.
Malachi Seely-Roberts Malachi Seely-Roberts 6'8" | SF Lincoln | 2023 State OR , Team Fly 16U (2023 Yamhill-Carlton)
With Oregon State and Idaho State watching, Roberts was simply wet from three-point range, knocking down at least five from distance. Where previously we have seen him handle the ball more with his high school team, he comfortably settled into catch-and-shoot mode and the results were obvious.
Beya Kim Beya Kim 6'3" | SF Roosevelt | 2023 State OR , Oregon Basketball Club 16U (2023 Roosevelt)
Kim didn’t start the game as he got to the gym late. But when he did get on the floor his natural talent was evident. He aggressively attacked the basket and finished, and on one defensive possession, the 6-foot-3 swingman showed off his vertical leap by getting called for a goaltend by slapping the ball off the glass near the top of the square.
Christian Green Christian Green 6'1" | CG Cleveland | 2023 State OR , Team Fly 16U (2023 Cleveland)
Green caught our eye during the season and one highlight clip of him throwing down a facial jam on the break certainly showcased his vertical leap. But what impressed us on Friday was the 6-foot-1 guard’s constant motor on the defensive end. Offensively he also hit some open jumpers in addition to completing some athletic forays to the basket.
D’Angelo Tupper, Oregon Prospects 16U Gold (2023 Jefferson)
Perhaps best known to this point as the younger brother of Roosevelt swingman Donatello Tupper Donatello Tupper 6'4" | SF Roosevelt | 2022 State OR , the younger Tupper – who played JV at Jefferson last season – may be coming into his own as a player. He was aggressive shooting the ball and really got his jumper going early on Friday. The 5-foot-9 guard ended up hitting a clutch two to send the game into overtime.
