Players get an opportunity to play in front of college coaches, while trying to win with their AAU teams. The forwards in North Jersey are set for July and some are set for a big month. Here are the top forwards in North Jersey set for a big July.
Logan Blake Logan Blake 6'7" | PF Delaware Valley Regional | 2023 NJ , 6’6 PF Delaware Valley 2022
Blake has had a good spring for the NJ Panthers and it should continue into July. The 6’6 forward has a good face-up game as he can shoot jumpers from the perimeter or put the ball on the floor and get to the basket. Blake plays with good footwork down low and can score around the basket. He attacks the glass on both ends of the floor and moves his feet well on the defensive end. Blake’s ability to handle the ball on the perimeter makes him a mismatch, which should benefit his recruitment.
Noah Barnett Noah Barnett 6'8" | PF Don Bosco Prep | 2023 NLG , 6’8 PF Don Bosco Prep 2023
Barnett is set for a big July with the NY Jayhawks as he will get to show off his overall skillset. The 6’8 forward has a nice handle and has the ability to get to the rim from the perimeter. Barnett also has the potential to knock down jumpers from distance, but can also finish above the rim with authority. He skies for rebounds on both ends of the floor and has the athleticism to defend multiple positions. Barnett is an athletic forward prospect who should see his stock rise this July.
Naasir Cunningham Naasir Cunningham 6'7" | SF Southern California Academy | 2024 #41 Nation CA-S , 6’7 SF Gill St. Bernard’s 2024
Cunningham started the month off with a bang as the second rated prospect according to ESPN’s top 25 rankings for the 2024 class. The 6’7 wing is a smooth scorer as he can score at all three levels and wastes little motion in his jumper. Cunningham has a good handle and the ability to run the offense in a pinch. His length gives him the potential to defend multiple positions and is an underrated passer. Cunningham is a talented wing prospect who should confirm his status as a top recruit at Peach Jam with the NY Rens in July.
Terry Copeland Terry Copeland 6'8" | PF Legacy Early College | 2024 State SC , 6’9 PF Bergen Catholic 2024
Copeland’s stock has been on the rise over the past couple of months and should continue to be this June as he plays for PSA Cardinals. The 6’9 forward has a strong frame which he uses to get position down low and draw contact. Copeland has a good touch around the basket, but his greatest strength is his passing as he can effectively pass out of the double team. He is a force on the glass and is a strong good post defender. Copeland’s ability to affect the offense in different aspects should make him an intriguing prospect to watch in the 2024 class.
David Luberoff David Luberoff 6'9" | PF Blair Academy | 2023 State NJ , 6’8 PF Midland Park 2022
Luberoff has had a big spring for the NJ Beasts, which should carry over into July. The 6’8 forward is comfortable on the perimeter as he can knock down jumpers from behind the arc and can put the ball on the floor. Luberoff has a nice touch around the basket and can finish through contact. He attacks the glass on both ends of the floor and uses his length to block shots. Luberoff is a two-way stretch four who has the potential to turn heads this July.
