Continue ReadingThis week I’ll be in Orlando, Florida evaluating some of the best prospects in the country at the NBPA Top 100 Camp. The camp was created in 1994 and since 300 players have gone on to have successful NBA careers. The camp will host NBA Scouts, College Coaches, and National Media providing a large platform for prospects to be evaluated. Prospects will have the opportunity to play and compete against some of the best in the country. The Northeast will be represented by three prospects who have made a splash this summer on the grassroots scene and throughout their careers.
Rowan Brumbaugh Rowan Brumbaugh 6'4" | PG Northfield Mount Hermon | 2022 State #140 Nation NLG , 2022, Northfield Mount Hermon/Prospect University (pictured above)
Evaluation: The 6’4″ point guard has been picking up steam this spring/summer throughout the grassroots season. The ambidextrous finisher manages to keep defenders on their heels. He has an exceptional feel with the ball in his hands. He understands angles and how to utilize his quickness to keep defenders off balance. Recently he’s received offers from Kansas, Texas, Miami, Maryland, Creighton, Vanderbilt, Tulane, and Wake Forest.

Donovan Clingan Donovan Clingan 7'1" | C Bristol Central | 2022 State #61 Nation NLG , 2022, Bristol Central/Team Spartans
Evaluation: The 7’0″ UConn commit will be one of the most talented big men at the camp. Clingan has an impressive skillet and wingspan (7’7″) to match. The mobile space-eater will be a handful for opponents on either blocker, where he is most comfortable. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Clingan stretch the floor during camp.

Dylan Harper Dylan Harper 6'6" | SG Don Bosco Prep | 2024 State #3 Nation NJ , 2024, Don Bosco Prep/ NJ Legacy
Evaluation: The 6’3″ lefty is effective from both guard positions because he doesn’t have the typical build of a young high school prospect. The highly skilled guard has the ability to beat defenders off the dribble creating his own scoring opportunities. He can beat defenders from the outside as a jump shooter but doesn’t shy away from contact off of dribble penetration. He has the potential to be a complete player as his best basketball is ahead of him.
