Jared Lee 6’0″ Staley: A 2023 point guard who does everything in a very smooth and under control manner. He can get by defenders without looking like he’s moving fast to get inside for layups and he compliments it with a nice mid-range pull up jumper. He can really score, but he also showed the ability to pass and keep his teammates involved. He was very unselfish.
Spencer Blaine 6’3″ Liberty: A 2022 wing player who displayed a consistent stroke from 3-point range in the games that I watched. He made five triples in one game as he really caught fire. He has a nice smooth release on his shot. His floor game was very solid as he was a solid ball handler who set up his teammates for buckets on a regular basis.
Daeye Miller 6’3″ Mexico: A 2023 forward is a solid, hard working play who was very productive around the basket because he was so active. He used his quickness and motor to outwork bigger players for rebounds and inside buckets. He would get out of his area for boards and also run the court in transition for hustle buckets. He plays much bigger than his actual height.
Remington Woodcock 6’6″ SW Livingston: A big 2022 forward who looks the part of an offensive lineman in football at about 300 pounds, but he’s pretty skilled on the basketball court. He has a nice shooting touch around the basket and he can step out and knock down the 15 footer with confidence. He moves pretty well in the post to get good position. I enjoyed watching the big fella play in person.
Chris Guldan 6’1″ Bishop LeBlond: A 2022 guard who moves well without the basketball and can knock down 3-pointers at a pretty nice clip. He can come off screens well and get into the transition and shoot it with a quick release. He does a nice job of putting himself in the right position at both ends of the floor.
Zayne Montgomery 6’2″ Moberly: A 2022 guard who was a fine all-purpose player who could handle the ball, pass it and play solid defense with a lot of effort. He scored on some aggressive takes to the basket and was capable of hitting the open 3-pointer.
Johnny Brice 6’1″ Steelville: A 2023 guard who played with a lot of hustle and could knock down 3-pointers. That’s a pretty good combination to have. He did a good job staying active and keeping himself around the ball to make plays.
Kyle Phipps 5’8″ Hillsboro: A 2022 point guard who impressed me with his court vision and overall floor game. He’s pretty quick and he did a nice job of handling and distributing the basketball while picking his spots to be assertive to look for his own shot.
