Caden McGuire Caden McGuire 6'2" | SG Lee's Summit | 2022 State MO 6’2″ Lee’s Summit: An impressive 2022 guard who displayed an all-around skill set plus a good feel for the game. He doesn’t rush things on offense and every move is made with a purpose. He uses his fakes well and he can score on an array of runners, pull up jumpers and 3-pointers. He makes good quick decisions with the ball with his passing and he plays well without the ball.
Quin Blackburn Quin Blackburn 6'7" | PF Pacific | 2023 State MO 6’7″ Pacific: A very skilled 2023 big who got a lot done in the post in the game I watched. He has very good footwork inside as he can score on a variety of drop steps and un-and-under moves. He can step out and hit the perimeter jumper to open up the defense as well. He is an active rebounder with excellent mobility.
Kenny Jackson 6’2″ Battle: A talented 2024 guard who is a nice athlete and plays with a high motor. He really excels in the transition game where he can get out and run and showcase his athleticism. When the game slows down, he did a nice job of moving without the ball and cutting to the basket for layups. He hit a couple of 3-pointers in the game I looked at and slashed inside for buckets.
Walter Straughter 6’3″ Chaminade: A 2022 wing who is thin and wiry with explosive athleticism. He could rise out and throw down an alley-oop dunk or get out and throw one down in transition. He’s a very effective slashing threat on offense who also goes out and gives a strong effort on the defensive end with his length.
Andrew Robinson 6’4″ Kickapoo: A solidly built 2022 wing who displayed his offensive talents in a variety of ways. He used his physical strength to get to the basket and he could pull up and knock down the jumper. He was consistently in attack mode, but he did it under control. He was one of those players who I had never seen before this camp and came away looking very impressive.
Grant Hale 6’1″ Neelyville: A stout 2023 guard from the SEMO area who was also very solid with the basketball in his hands. He made good decisions while also displayed some excellent court vision. He also sliced his way into the lane to convert a couple of nice buckets.
Kieren Jones 6’5″ Hillsboro: A 2023 forward who has good size and good length. He moves pretty well up and down the court and was an active rebounder during the game I watched. He has very good potential and he will continue to develop in an excellent high school program.
Connor Robinson 5’11″ Novinger: The small school 2022 guard introduced himself to Prep Hoops Missouri with some impressive perimeter shooting. He knocked down three in a row from long distance in one game and looked very confident in the process. He could also get into the lane and make a play inside as well when he needed to.
