Both Team Wildcat Silver 17U and 16U teams were at Spooky Nook, PA last weekend. This is a large organization that contains the Adidas sponsored Wildcat Select 3SSB teams, Team Wildcat HGSL, and Regional teams. Let’s take a look at some of the players that participated throughout the spring and summer for Team Wildcat…
Class of 2022 – 17U Team Wildcat:
The Team Wildcat 17U players worked hard this AAU season. They developed good chemistry and had some very competitive games. A strong core of performers made their presence known at many tournaments. Let’s start with Eli Yofan Eli Yofan 6'3" | CG Fox Chapel | 2022 State PA a 6’3 combo guard out of Fox Chapel High School. He has received a few division 1 offers and with his stellar performance on the circuit, there will be more college coaches reaching out in the near future. Michael Wells Michael Wells 6'4" | CG New Castle | 2022 State PA is a 6’4 wing forward from New Castle High School. This big, strong athlete excels on the football field as well. His ability to use his body in the lane, while still knocking down shots on the perimeter made him a nightmare to guard this summer. Next, we have Will Kromka Will Kromka 6'4" | SG Gateway | 2022 State PA a 6’4 shooting guard from Gateway High School. He has a knack for finding the open spot on the court to fill the basket from the outside and has an excellent free throw percentage. Daniel Bruce comes at you with his 6’8 height while playing the forward position. This young man likes to get out in transition and finish at the rim. Also, look for him to use his length and wingspan on the defensive end of the floor. Now we check out 6’4 wing forward James Sitter who attends Fairview High School. His ability to play both the offensive and defensive sides of the court make him an overall talented player for his AAU and high school teams. His teammate from Fairview High School, 6’5 Logan Frazao wing forward brings a well-rounded skill set to the court every night as well. He likes to play on the wing and slash to the basket for multiple scoring opportunities. Another top player this spring/summer is Brevan Williams Brevan Williams 6'5" | SF Greensburg Central Catholic | 2022 State PA , a 6’4 wing forward out of Greensburg Central Catholic High School. With his long, lanky build this high-quality player causes havoc for his opponents in the lane, on transition, and dominating the glass. Last but not least we touch on Jaden Gales Jaden Gales 6'7" | PF Bishop Canevin | 2022 State PA who is a 6’5 wing forward. He brings his energy each game and likes to get after it on the defensive end of the floor. Also, he runs the court extremely well and finishes at the rim with slam dunks.
Class of 2023 – 16U Team Wildcat:
The 16U Team Wildcat group played in a good amount of tournaments this AAU season. There were some kids that consistently performed well on the hardwood this spring and summer. We take a look at Travarese Rowe Travarese Rowe 6'3" | PF McKeesport | 2023 State PA out of McKeesport High School who stands at 6’4 and plays both forward positions. This skilled athlete plays with a high motor and gets the glass on both ends of the floor. He has the ability to penetrate the lane from the wing or high post. Next, is 6’0 point guard Connor Spratt Connor Spratt 6'3" | PG Seton LaSalle | 2023 State PA who recently transferred to Seton LaSalle High School. His high basketball IQ combined with the ability to create opportunities for his teammates is a strong asset of this young man. A few new additions to the squad were Javonta Belton a 6’3 power forward from McKeesport and Noah Barren a 6’0 point guard who attends Penn Hills High School. Both of these guys added necessary depth to Team Wildcat.
