Continue ReadingThe Battle in Seattle has become one of the preeminent AAU events in the northwest. Normally held in the Seattle area, COVID restrictions moved the event south to Centralia, WA. The change in venue didn’t impact the level of talent on display however. Here are five under the radar players who raised their stock that weekend.
Declan Delap | Apollo Academy 2023:
Put himself on the radar in Centralia playing in the 16u division. Delap is a 6’5” wing with impressive length that allows him to disrupt passing lanes and even block perimeter jump shots. A knock-down perimeter shooter, he shot lights-out beyond the arc over the weekend and even saw action suiting up for Apollo’s 17u squad on day 2. Stock could rise rapidly this summer.
Jarlin Falanga | BFL 2021:
An unusually versatile 6’3″ guard, Falanga would be a great fit for a JUCO or prep school looking for a late add in the class of 2021. Plays with incredible hustle, energy and focus. Guards the 1-3 with great effectiveness and will play whatever roll is asked of him. Above average rebounder for his size with great defensive instincts and leadership qualities. Capable of taking over a game when needed. Any program that gives him a chance is going to get a great addition who will contribute immediately in whatever roll they need.
Ravjeet Randhawa | Seattle Rotary 2023:
High IQ floor general with strong ability to direct his team from the point. Reads the floor well with ability to make and execute the right read at a very high level. Efficient shooter who can be accurate at high volume if asked. Already receiving mid-major offers on the west coast with more colleges watching every day. A stock riser to know going forward.
De’ray Taylor |Seattle Rotary 2023:
Lefty combo guard who is the definition of an intense defender. Thrives off his hard-nosed permitter defense. Never backs down from any matchup. Can guard either guard spots extremely effectively. Offensive game has made big strides in the last year. Effective slasher who draws and finishes through contact. A guard poised to gain a lot of interest by the en of the summer

| BFL 2023:
6’5” capable of playing the 2 or the 3 on both ends, Nikita has the ability to pull from nearly any distance. Repeatedly hit contested 35 footers in a late-game comeback and showed his comfort from that distance throughout the weekend. Still learning his true potential as a wing, he is sure to only improve and raise his stock. A player who could thrive at the DII level or be a solid depth addition for a DI program looking to strengthen their permitter rotation.
