PG- Jake Hansen 5-11 Wauwatosa West (WI) Unlike most of the players on this list. Hansen actually looks his age. But then the ball tips and his advanced backcourt game becomes readily apparent. An excellent outside shot appears to be the strength of his game. But also possesses good ball handling and passing ability. Prospect who played with the Wisconsin Playground Club has a bright future ahead of him.
SG- Bryce Heard 6-4 Kenwood (IL) Widely considered the top incoming player in the city. Heard lived up to this billing. There really wasn’t much he couldn’t do. Shot it well from deep. Penetrated with both ease and force. When drives were cut off was good at dishing off to open teammates. All on an impressive 6-4 frame. Played with a Mac Irvin Fire unit that was basically all 2025’s. Standout game was a Sunday victory over a good Team Ten Jabari Parker squad. A special prospect to monitor.
SF Leo Gamez 6-3 Cedar Rapids Xavier (IA) Gamez shot lights out for Team Iowa Elite all weekend. For that reason I’ve listed him at the three spot. At this point more and with his team more of a post prospect. But put the stretch in stretch 4. Obviously a well schooled player. I couldn’t help but notice everyone of his touches started with a shot fake. When you shoot like he did this minor detail is particularly effective. Prospect who doesn’t pass the initial eye test. Will need to improve his overall athleticism going forward. But has a good skill set to build off of.
PF- Daniel Sveiteris 6-4 Downers Grove South Played with a Full Package 2025 squad that had a very good weekend. First caught my eye in a Saturday victory against All in Athletics. Scored 16 points with everyone of them counting in the tight contest. Did this against a long AIA frontline featuring Kyan Shannon (Uplift). At this point a below the rim post. But has the skill set to pull this off. Good shooter with a soft textbook release. Also a good passer out of the high post. Played well in the pick and roll.
C- Kia Rogers 6-10 Wauwatosa West (WI) First wrote about this prospect in my Friday night observations. You don’t need an advanced scouting degree to notice this players limitless physical potential. Just your two eyes. I heard a coach in the crowd refer to him as the “Big Ticket”. That might be selling him short. Put simply you don’t see 6-10 280 athletes capable of one dribble drop step dunks often at any level. Let alone a player who has yet to step foot in a high school.
