Players shine at different times during these events and we can only comment on what we saw when they played in front of us.
Here were some of top 2024’s from the Brawl for the Ball:
Aeramiah Binford Aeramiah Binford 6'4" | SF Ascending Life | 2024 State AZ (PAL Elite 2024)
-One of the more athletic wing forwards at the entire event. He rebounds, collect steals, defends multiple positions and of course gets out on the break and plays above the rim in style. He can rip through and score through contact. He does make 3’s, albeit with an unorthodox release, but does all the little things to win games.
Cooper Carlson CG 6’5 Capital/WA (West Academy 2024)
-One of the better feels for the game in 15U does a lot of things well. He can shoot it to the 3pt line, he makes plays for others with nice court vision and has a high IQ for the game. He competes on defense and checks many boxes for your team to win.
Mazen Bissat SF 6’2 San Marcos/CA (Costal Elite 2024 Elite) (Pictured)
-A versatile wing can shoot it well, he has good length, handles the ball and can get downhill. He defends multiple positions and comes with a clip to shoot it. The Coastal program has a good one here!
Deuce Sims G 5’11 San Marcos/CA (Coastal Elite 2024 Elite)
-A top notch two-way player is a pit bull on-ball defender. He has quick hands and feet and moves fluidly around the court. He can hit the 3 plus slither in the lane and score it in traffic. He has a nice first step and brings energy in every game.
Darell Gipson W 6’2 Timberline/WA (West Academy 2024)
-A stronger guard/wing has great footwork and ball handling skills. He uses his strength to rebound and comes with a high basketball IQ. For his age group he is dominate around the basket and he can score it at all three levels. He is young for his class and plays hard.
Kase Wynott Kase Wynott 6'6" | SF Lapwai | 2024 State ID (West Academy 2024)
-A freaky athletic rising soph was a fun watch. He attempted numerous lobs throughout the weekend (some unsuccessful) but comes with a sturdy frame to absorb contact in the lane. He rebounds the well in his area due to his athletic gifts and plays a smart game on both ends of the court. He can handle it, shoot it and defend. But watch your head with this young forward from Idaho.
