He scored from all three levels , showcased some solid ballhandling skills and was just as solid on the defensive side of the ball, defending multiple positions without fouling by using his solid lateral quickness.
Quinn Anvils 2023 Guard Zee Mccown: The #1 scorer in the 16U Orange division, he got off to a slower start but took things up a notch on Saturday. He averaged 29 PPG on Saturday, finding his rhythm shooting the ball from three point land which would help his team finish with a 2-1 record.
VA Havoc ROA 2023 Guard Ryan Steger: Hands down one of the best shooters that we saw throughout the entire weekend, he checks in at the #2 spot in scoring at just over 24 PPG. He does a nice job of always being ready to shoot, setting his feet quickly and getting his shot off before defenders can recover.
HYB Raps Extreme 2023 Guard Jordan Fraizer: Another player that shot the ball well from three point range, he’s a confident player that was not hesitant about letting it fly from deep which led to an 18 PPG scoring average. He rebounded the ball well from the Guard spot , crashing the boards consistently on both ends of the floor.
Big Shots Elite Virginia Nets 2023 Guard Lawrence Cole: The type of PG that you want to have on your squad, he understands how to lead a team with his play and vocally. He can score the ball, facilitate, defend at a high level, and plays the game at his own pace and does all the small things that go unnoticed.
Strong Center 2023 Wing Jesse Mitchell: One of the more impressive performances that we saw from him this summer, Mitchell averaged over 19 PPG and helped lead his team to the 16U Orange Championship. One thing that you notice almost instantly is the fact that he doesn’t mind banging inside the paint and understands proper positioning on the court very well which helps him score at a high level in the paint.
