There was a strong Indiana presence down in the Bluegrass state and we had boots on the ground to provide coverage of the event. Let’s dive in to some of the rising seniors that stood out and had college coaches buzzing over the course of the weekend in Louisville.
Karson Jenkins Karson Jenkins 6'1" | PG Fort Wayne Snider | 2022 State IN : 6’2″ Point Guard Snider H.S. (Indy Heat Red)- Jenkins had an outstanding weekend and solidified himself as one of the better point guard prospects at the tournament. A 3-year Varsity contributor for Snider High School, Jenkins is an efficient scorer from all three levels. His ability to get hot from beyond the arc paired with excellent finishing ability at the rim makes him really tough off of the dribble. Holds a St. Francis offer with many more to come.
Adonis House: 6’6″ Power Forward Liberty Christian H.S. (Gym Rats Black)- House had a breakout tournament down in Louisville and had several D3/NAIA coaches very impressed. The 6’6″ 4-man has a strong frame while still showcasing very good footwork and great hands around the basket. He rebounds at a very high level. Offensively, he is a very good finisher at the rim with developing post moves. House is absolutely one to keep an eye on over the next two evaluation periods and heading into the high school season.
Landon Babusiak: 6’8″ Power Forward Don Bosco Institute (Indiana Game-Premier)- After three good seasons at Hanover Central High School, Babusiak has elected to attend Don Bosco for his senior season. Babusiak is a skilled 4-man with the ability to score around the basket as well as stretch the defense out to the perimeter. He has a sturdy base with his back to the basket and good, quick feet. Babusiak showcases the ability to be an effective rim runner as well as a dangerous player from the trail spot in the secondary break. Protected the rim defensively with his length and athleticism as well. Garnering some preliminary Division I interest.
Christian Nunn Christian Nunn 6'3" | SF L'anse Creuse North | 2022 State IN : 6’3″ Wing Crispus Attucks H.S. (Gym Rats Black)- Nunn is an absolute beast off of the dribble and around the basket. With his combination of strength and athletic ability he is nearly impossible to stop in the open floor and when he gets a head of steam going downhill he makes defenders bounce off of him. There were a couple of highlight reel dunks this weekend from Nunn. In terms of a physical wing that is really good as a driver and slasher, Nunn was one of the better prospects at Ballin Under 1 Roof.
Andrew Leeper Andrew Leeper 6'6" | PF Homestead | 2022 State IN : 6’6″ Power Forward Homestead H.S. (Indy Heat Red)- Leeper, who has a number of D2/D3/NAIA offers, really stood out in Indy Heat Red’s big come-from-behind win against Bates Fundamental Sunday afternoon. Leeper was a key in the second half comeback with back-to-back blocks in a big defensive sequence and a huge posterizing dunk to cap things off in the final minute. He is an excellent athlete that rebounds outside of his area, can defend multiple positions, and is an excellent finisher on the offensive end.
