I round out my Ballin Under 1 Roof coverage with a piece highlighting the host state’s best performers. Guards especially impressed. but I was very excited to see two of the Top 20 prospects in Kentucky’s 2022 class as part of my weekend coverage. Take a look as I share my top prospects from the Bluegrass state.

Josh Mitchell- Kentucky Defenders (Cincinnati College Prep) 5-11 (2023)

Technically Mitchell is an Ohio kid, but I decided to put him with the Kentucky recap since the majority of his team competes in the Bluegrass state. Mitchell was one of the better shooters on display last weekend. Quick release and gets into shooting motions and rhythm. Liked to play up-tempo but got a little out of control when he went too quickly. Young guy still and showing promise as a 2G at the collegiate level.

Mykel King- Kentucky Defenders (Newport) 5-8 (2023)

The Defenders had several guards that I’ve mentioned throughout the weekend, however King is the best all-around guard on his team. Sets his guys up and very unselfish getting the ball to the guys that were hot in their game against Nova Village. One of the smaller guys on the floor but unafraid
