Of all of the players that we had the opportunity to evaluate, which ones really broke through and started to catch the eye of college coaches? Who are the new names that need to be followed closely over the next two evaluation periods? Let’s take a look at five prospects who fit that criteria.
Jalen Bullock Jalen Bullock 6'7" | PF Calumet New Tech | 2022 State IN : 6’7″ Center Calumet New Tech H.S. (Indiana Game-Blue)- Big, strong frame that can move around the floor well. Bullock has pretty good footwork on the offensive side and should be able to get out and hedge ballscreens defensively with continued coaching. He is a good passer with his back to the basket in the post. Definitely an intriguing 5-man prospect for small colleges to track this summer and heading into his senior high school season.
Lincoln Thomae Lincoln Thomae 6'3" | SG Victory Christian | 2022 State IN : 6’2″ Shooting Guard Don Bosco Institute (Indiana Game Premier)- Thomae is a guard that really had a great tournament at Ballin Under 1 Roof. His scoring ability led to 1784 points at Victory Christian over three seasons, but he flew under the radar at the non-IHSAA school. He is efficient from all three levels and can really stroke it from beyond the arc. Thomae plays with good pace, handles the ball well, and has some strength as well. One of the better under-the-radar scoring guards in Indiana right now.
Raedhyn Foust Raedhyn Foust 6'8" | PF Northeastern | 2022 State IN : 6’7’ Power Forward Northeastern H.S. (Gym Rats Black)- It is clear that Foust has been working hard in the weight room over the summer months. Just from the end of the high school season, the big man has put on 10-15 pounds and is looking to be more physically ready for the college game. Foust is a good three-point shooter and has the game of a “stretch-4” more so than a back-to-the-basket guy. Coaches love his ability to stretch the floor at his height.
Joe Reidy Joe Reidy 6'7" | SF Woodlan | 2022 State IN : 6’6″ Small Forward Woodlan H.S. (Indy Heat Red)- One of the many good college prospects on Indy Heat Red. Reidy is super versatile on both ends of the floor. In the big comeback win against Bates Fundamental during tournament play on Sunday, Reidy rebounded the ball very well showcasing the ability to go and get it outside of his area. He can make plays from the perimeter and around the basket offensively as well. He will hold a lot of NAIA offers when it is said and done.
Mason Yoder: 6’1″ Shooting Guard Westview H.S. (Summit City Elite)- Yoder scored it really well all weekend showcasing his ability to create off of the dribble. He is a long, lean athlete with some shiftiness to his game and elevation on his jump shot. Yoder improved a ton between his sophomore and junior seasons and is reaping the benefits of continued hard work this summer. Expect to see him put together a great rest of the summer and a strong senior season.
