That being said, I always make an effort to at least see a few 15U games just to get an idea of the youth upcoming. Ballin Under 1 Roof was no exception as I spent time evaluating 4 teams and getting a good luck at the future of basketball in Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana.
RJ Greer- Ohio Stars (Springboro) 6-3 (2025)
Greer impressed as he was playing up a grade with the Ohio Stars. Very unselfish player and a good passer. Combination of athleticism and length makes him tough to defend. Quick first steps off the drive. Understood off-ball movement and constantly looked to space the floor and make cuts. High IQ guard for a freshman and could really blossom more this Winter.
David Cundiff- Indiana Game Premier (Munster) 6-0
Fundamentally sound guard. Confident shooter with great mechanics. Very impressed with his spin move and pullup jumper. Spin looked like a 2k move and his jumper is so smooth. Got by defenders in the open court and forced Ohio Stars to come defend him once he crossed halfcourt. Nice overall game for a guard and could play either guard positions down the road.
Lee Marks III- Indiana Game Premier (Homewood-Flossmar) 6-4
Marks impressed me with his size for a guard. Showed comfortability playing out on the wing or posting up on the block. Little scrawny but has some nice length. Shifty around the rim and showed he could finish contested shots through contact. Had good movement on the defensive end and covered plenty of ground. Intriguing with his size and most likely a scholarship athlete in the future.
Parker Penrod- Ohio Stars (Troy Christian) 5-9
Penrod plays like what you’d expect from a Troy Christian player. Focuses on the defensive end by sitting down and defending. Contested shots on the perimeter and covered plenty of ground. Gets his hands up to close out on shots. Contributes on the offensive end as well with good shooting mechanics and a nice outside shot.
Justin Sims Justin Sims 6'6" | PF Chesterton | 2024 State IN – Indiana Game Premier (Chesterton) 6-5
Sims is a special player and has a very high ceiling as he grows. Very unselfish player especially for a post player. Made good passes out of the post and realized when it was a good time to use his size. Very strong for a sophomore in my opinion. Good seal offs and keeps the defender on his back. College coaches should know about this guy as he could be a legitimate D2 prospect as his game continues to blossom.
Thomas Williams- Kentucky Defenders 16U (Boone County) 5-10
Williams was playing up a grade for the Defenders and showed he belonged. The most important part of this guy’s game is his ability to just score the ball. Can and will do it in a variety of ways and did it even with tight defense. Definitely not the biggest player on the floor, but could really become a dangerous player as he learns to take translatable shots for the college level.
Colin White Colin White 6'5" | SG Ottawa Glandorf | 2024 State #156 Nation OH – Ohio Buckets-Garcia (Ottawa-Glandorf) 6-3
White was a player I’ve seen before after watching his compete with Ottawa-Glandorf at the OHSAA tournament. White showed us why he is one of the better prospects in the 2024 class with flashy athleticism and elite bounce this weekend. Clearly ahead of the game with his basketball skill. Gets shots off over defenders whether it be midrange or dribble drives. Played well enough to earn a scholarship from Ashland after last weekend.
