The players listed below are top tier talent on the court for 2023 and will be exciting to watch this upcoming season.
Wesley Stallings | 6-1 SF | Trinity Presbyterian
Stallings is an excellent shooter with the ball in his hands. His playing time will for sure increase this season, so he has a chance to increase his stock and become a top 2023 talent in the state. At 6’1″, Stallings possesses great height and can fly to the rim.
Chapman Pouncey | 5-8 PG, SG | Trinity Presbyterian
Another Trinity Presbyterian incoming junior, Pouncey is a solid guard that can create open looks and fly to the rim. On the perimeter, he can let it go from beyond the arc and light up the stat sheet. Inside the paint, Pouncey can dribble past defenders with his quick speed and get to the glass. On defense, he is a solid defender that can create turnovers.
LJ Green | 6-0 PG, SG | Montgomery Catholic
Green is a star in the making. He enters his junior season with high expectations, and rightfully so. The guard can do it all for Montgomery Catholic. When he has the ball, Green can hit from anywhere on the floor. He is a solid team first player but knows when to take the open shot.
Brennan Binns | 5-6 G | Montgomery Catholic
Binns is a player that continues to fly up on the recruiting charts. His game speaks for itself. At 5’6″, he has the ability to move past defenders and get to the glass. Binns is a great shooter at the free throw line and can take over the game at any moment with his clutch shooting ability and long range.
Carson Roberson | G | Prattville Christian Academy
Roberson could end up being a big factor in PCA’s success in 2021-22. The incoming junior is a terrific defender at the opposite end of the floor. But his offensive game is what makes him special. Roberson can attack the defense in many different ways with his quick speed and high basketball IQ. Near the rim, he is a great shooter but his mid range and three-point shots are what electrifies his game.
