Some of the best 2022 talent in all of Class 3A play in Area 6. Here are the top five 2022 players in the area.
TJ Dudley | 6-3 F | Montgomery Catholic
Dudley is a sensational shooter that can light up the scoreboard on any given night. He is great on the perimieter at spot up shooting but can take it inside to the low post and hit contested shots. His defense is stellar and he is a rim stuffer and a solid rebounder at both ends of the floor.
Patrick Ryan | 5-11 G | Montgomery Catholic
Ryan is a great player with the ball in his hands. The senior can take over the game at any moment and excels at scoring at will. When he gets into the paint, he can create open looks by flying past defenders or hitting a stepback jumper. On defense, he is a great off-ball and on-ball defender that can create turnovers and run the floor in transition.
Camron Coleman | G | Prattville Christian Academy
Coleman might be PCA’s best returning player entering the 2021-22 season. He is a solid shooter and is great at drawing defenders towards him to create open looks for his teammates. In the paint, Coleman can intensify his team’s offense with a solid jumpshot. When he gets to the free throw line, the senior is money nearly every time at the line.
Simmons Byrd | 5-7 G | Trinity Presbyterian
Byrd is an electrifying guard that can do it all. He can light it up from beyond the arc or drive inside and finish at the rim. Byrd might be one of the best finishing guards in all of Class 3A heading into the season. His defensive game is also phenomenal to see. He is a lockdown defender that can easily create turnovers and finish at the opposite end of the court.
Ben Easterling | 6-3 C, PF | Trinity Presbyterian
Easterling is an outstanding big man that can play both center and power forward. The senior has great sie and height and can get to the rim and haul in rebounds at either end of the floor. His spot up shot in the paint is a solid part of his offense. But when he gets to the glass, he creates a mismatch against smaller defenders.
