The top players in Area 13 display great talent on the court and look to have impressive seasons when the 2021-22 high school basketball season gets underway in Alabama.
Gunnar McBee | 5-9 G | Holly Pond
McBee is a sensational scorer on offense. He can drive to the rim or hit a quick jumper against any defender. On defense, he can lock down any ball handler and force turnovers before running the fast break for an easy bucket.
Taylor King | 5-7 G | Brindlee Mountain
King is a top notch guard in Area 13. He plays the game well and can be the floor general for his team on offense. He can score 20+ points on any night with his dynamic scoring ability and plays defense at a high level.
Dillon Arnold | 5-7 G | Pennington
Arnold is a sensational guard that can score from anywhere on the floor. He can hesitate mid drive and hit a stepback jumper or get to the rim for a layup. On the perimeter, he is a great spot up shooter from beyond the arc that can light up the stat sheet.
Noah Blackwood | 6-3 F | Pennington
Blackwood is another Pennington player with high expectations going into the season. He is great at the pick adn roll but can become a top scorer for his team when he gets going. His post up game is strong and he plays defense to perfection.
Cameron Gilliland | 6-2 SF | Susan Moore
Gilliland can excite the crowd with his clutch shots late in games. He can score in excess of 15+ points on any night and can be both an assist and rebounding machine. At both ends of the floor, Gilliland is competing for rebounds and can find open teammates up the floor for an easy assist on the fast break. When he is scoring, Gilliland can pull up from anywhere on the floor and hit an open shot.
