With his athleticism and ability to impact the game in a variety of ways, watch for Burdette to build on his success. He’s a guard to watch as a lot of the top guards in 2A graduate.
Dale Gillespie, 5-foot-10 guard, Pleasanton:
A standout quarterback, Gillespie earned honorable mention in both football and basketball last season. He’s can get to the goal and push the ball in the open court, and he’s dangerous from the perimeter. He produced a few big-point outings when he got his shot going. Like, Burdette, Gillespie will be a top guard in 2A next season.
