Continue ReadingThere has been a ton of movement in the 2024 class over the last 6 months as several players have moved back to 2025 while others that were in 2023 are now 2024 prospects. We’ve also added a lot of new names to the list and expanded to over 70 prospects already in our 2024 rankings. Here’s a breakdown of the top wings in our 2024 rankings. This does not include players who made the top 10 of our rankings.
Derrell Bateman Derrell Bateman 6'4" | SF Christian County | 2024 State KY , Christian County – Bateman was a standout at Camp One’s event last winter then has sort of disappeared since. Christian County didn’t win a game last season and Bateman averaged 6.5 points per game. But, he made a lasting impression last winter and I’d like to see more in the next year before moving him too far down the list.
Hudson Blank Hudson Blank 6'2" | SF Dixie Heights | 2024 State KY , Dixie Heights – Blank could be more of a combo guard but he’s big and strong and has played a lot on the wing so far. Hudson is very skilled with a good motor and high IQ and should be one of the best Sophomores in the 9th region this upcoming season.
Elijah Decker Elijah Decker 6'5" | SF Ohio County | 2024 State KY , Ohio County – Decker was a 2023 who moved to 2024 and could ultimately be one of the best in that class if he reaches his potential as a big wing who can score from deep or finish above the rim. Elijah will be a top player in the 3rd region this upcoming season and should be among the best athletes in west Ky.
Elijah Clinton Elijah Clinton 6'6" | CG Western | 2025 FL , Western – Clinton has extremely high upside and could eventually be a top 10-15 player in the class. He’s long and athletic and has only been playing organized basketball for a couple of years. His potential is VERY high and he could be a D1 player down the line if he keeps developing.
Jay Rose Jay Rose 6'4" | SG Madison Southern | 2024 State KY , Madison Southern – Rose, like Decker, is a 2023 reclass. He’s athletic and long with a chance to be a scholarship level player but he needs to get stronger and more confident in his left hand. Jay has a high skill level and should be able to use his extra year to get stronger and become a better finisher in traffic.
