The move: 14 to 7
The 6-2 lead guard has shot up a few inches in the last year and is really starting to fill out physically. One of the best shooters in the state, Laube is also improving his all-around offensive skill set, developing his ability to put the ball on the floor, get to the rim, and finish through contact. He uses his length effectively on both ends of the floor, and his shooting is one of those elite traits that will translate to the next level. Mid-majors and high-level Division II programs are taking notice.

| PF | Wilton
The move: 26 to 15
A 6-6 big man with great hands and strong footwork, Kirkman has put together a really strong summer with the Iowa Barnstormers. He scores efficiently around the rim with either hand, and he sets good, hard screens and rolls hard to the rim. He rebounds at a high level on both ends of the floor and can protect the paint defensively. He’ll obviously need to grow some more if he’s going to play in the paint at the next level, or add some range to his game to stretch out to the perimeter, but he’s a really, really good high school player right now.

The move: 33 to 23
A skilled 6-4 wing who can really shoot it, Sternberg has a good feel for the game and is also a really good passer who sees the floor well. He utilizes his length effectively on the defensive end and will contribute on the glass on both ends of the floor.

The move: 49 to 26
Another Barnstormer who has put together a strong summer is Taylor, a big, physical 6-4 wing with good length. The son of Iowa assistant Billy Taylor is an intelligent defender and a good shooter off the catch.

The move: 59 to 27
Witt is a 6-6 power forward who protects the rim, runs the floor, and rebounds at a high level. His offensive skill set has developed nicely, as he can now be relied upon to score or make the right decisions off of a post touch.

The move: 85 to 32
The 6-6 combo forward was a scoring machine when we saw Indianola at the Winterset Shootout. After shooting just 2-9 from behind the arc as a sophomore, he showcased improved confidence in his perimeter stroke, routinely knocking down catch-and-shoot 3s. He has excellent footwork and hands around the bucket, and he can put the ball on the floor against slower-footed defenders. He rebounds well on both ends and runs the floor hard.

The move: 56 to 39
A 5-10 lead guard who values the basketball, Luyobya isn’t much of a shooting threat at this point, but he is a true lead guard who thrives on getting others involved. He looks to push the tempo and does a good job of attacking and getting to the rim when nobody stops the ball, or making the right play when he is picked up in transition. He’s a solid on-ball defender with quick feet, and he’s one of the faster players in the state with the ball in his hands.

The move: 81 to 45
A 6-2 wing, Glascock reminds me a lot of current Ballard star Ashton Hermann Ashton Hermann 6'4" | SG Ballard | 2022 State IA . He’s a long, athletic wing who can be a menace in transition, getting end-to-end quickly and finishing creatively around the rim. He uses his length effectively on the defensive end, and has a knack for jumping passing lanes and turning his defense into quick offense. He has a good stroke from deep and is brimming with confidence.
