Donovan Bass | 6’0″ PG | West Potomac
As discussed in a previous article, Bass enjoyed a productive run of play with his grassroots club this summer. West Potomac should be one of the better teams in Northern Virginia for the upcoming season. Bass will contribute with exceptional on-ball defense and rebounding. If his performances with the NOVA Cavs are any indication, he will also provide plenty of offensive firepower for the Wolverines.
Tobe Chuke | 6’5″ PF | Potomac School
Chuke is like a brick wall in the paint. Sturdy and impossible to get through. One thing that you will notice when watching Chuke play is that his motor is always running. He will be a double-double threat each time he hits the floor next season.
Ben Coolam | 5’10” PG | Yorktown
Coolam is a lefty guard who makes a difference on both ends. Yorktown has a good group of players that rotate frequently, but he makes the most of his time on the court. Look for Coolam to be a constant pest defensively while scoring from all levels.
Alejandro Ford | 6’4″ SF | Wakefield School
Ford is one of the best-kept secrets in Northern Virginia. He can do a bit of everything. Ford is also a tough competitor who plays hard on both ends.
DJ Kennard | 6’3″ SG | Falls Church
Kennard was one of our favorite finds from the summer. He is a lefty who has the tools to be a very effective two-way player. Kennard can run all day long. He is an imposing defender who is just tapping into his offensive potential.
Brandon Logan | 6’7″ C | Oakton
Logan is one of the more athletic prospects you’ll find at 6-foot-7 in the Northern Virginia area. He is light on his feet, gets low, and looks fluid when sliding laterally. Logan will have a chance to make an impact on a nightly basis as a rim protector, rebounder, and inside scorer.
Jamison Lynam | 5’8″ PG | South County
Lynam is a skilled guard who gets after it defensively. He is constantly picking up full court and turning his man in the backcourt. On the offensive side, Lynam is a threat to score from anywhere on the court.
James McIntyre | 6’0″ SG | Washington-Liberty
McIntyre is a bonafide sniper from behind the arc. He enjoyed a productive summer and is heading into his junior year riding a wave of momentum.
