Luke Hazelton Luke Hazelton 6'7" | PF Glen Lake | 2023 State MI (PF, Glen Lake)
Prep Hoops Michigan Ranking: #26
Hazelton may be the highest upside post player in the class. I hesitate to even give him a position because he’ll be able to take advantage of his diversity n all levels. Hazelton has the ability to play inside-out or outside-in, depending on his match up. His ability to guard in the paint and on the perimeter is an extremely valuable tool.
Teddy Williams Teddy Williams 6'6" | PF Grand Ledge | 2023 State MI (PF, Grand Ledge)
Prep Hoops Michigan Ranking: #29
Williams has been incredibly impressive since last fall. He can play from basically any spot on the floor. Williams can, and will, battle in the paint. But he can just as easily step out to the perimeter and shoot a soft jumper over the defense. He’s also showed the ability to handle the ball a bit up top and he’s a nice perimeter passer.
Michael Sulaka Michael Sulaka 6'8" | C Warren De La Salle | 2023 State MI (C, De La Salle)
Prep Hoops Michigan Ranking: #31
Sulaka could have an very bright future ahead of him. As we read in 2023 Rankings Update: Moving Up , Sulaka is one of the fastest rising post prospects in the state. He looked stronger and more confident during high school season. Sulaka has the chance to separate himself as an elite post defender.
Brennan Parachek Brennan Parachek 6'6" | PF Dexter | 2023 MI (PF, Dexter)
Prep Hoops Michigan Ranking: #38
I dare you to find something that Parachek doesn’t do well. In fact, he’s also a football prospect and one of the best tight ends in the country. You can see that all around athleticism when he steps on the basketball court. Parachek glides down the floor with ease and is a weapon in transition. He can also finish and play above the rim.
Donovan McDonald Donovan McDonald 6'7" | PF Croswell-Lexington | 2023 State MI (PF, Croswell-Lexington)
Prep Hoops Michigan Ranking: #48
McDonald is a prospect that coaches at the next level are going to want to keep an eye on. He’s a bouncy forward that I can see being a really effective stretch 4. McDonald rebounds high and seems to sneak in the lane from the baseline to snag rebounds. He has a very high upside and is definitely trending upward.
