Ito showed quality ball handling skills and lots of patience setting the team in half court sets, making sure there was plenty of spacing, and balance. He kept the ball moving with good passing, and decision making. He used screens well, has a nice mid-range jumper and will keep the defense honest with big buckets of his own down the stretch.
Theodore Stoll 5’7 of WCE NorCal 16U Elite – Edwards (Acalanes HS) 2023
Stoll is the ultimate floor general. The undersized guard understands his role as a facilitator, and will run the team accordingly. The pass first guard has quality handles, vision and passing skills to makes sure his big man, and shooters are involved regularly. He uses the pick and role effectively and usually makes the right read. He has a solid mid-range jumper.
Xavion Bell 5’10 PG of Stockton Soldiers 16U (Weston Ranch HS) 2023
Bell has the tools to be a quality PG, as he showed himself to be a willing floor leader. He has a good understanding of the game, and the position. He could be seen, and heard, communicating with teammates on both ends of the court. He’s fits the pass first guard, but has the handles to attack, shoot the mid-range, and use floaters to score. We’ll see more of him.
Khalil Grant 5’6 of WCE NorCal 16U – Edwards (Las Lomas HS) 2023
Grant plays the way a 5’6 player should play, with a chip on his shoulder. He’s a feisty competitive guard willing to mix it up, and challenge the status quo on the court. He utilizes his handles, speed, and leverage to his advantage. He loves using his quickness to go by defenders in transition, getting into the paint for floaters, and pullups. He’s a spark plug, and total pest on the ball.
