Cooper Marcum Cooper Marcum 6'2" | SF DH Conley | 2023 State NC | 6’2 Guard | Big Shots Elite McBride
Marcum shot the ball extremely well on the weekend while averaging He went off for 27 points while knocking down seven 3-pointers in a big win over VA Havoc Roanoke. He’s a combo guard that battles on the boards, defends and can finish strong at the rim in the class of 2023. He’s quite the underrate name due for some attention from colleges.
James Scott James Scott 6'9" | PF EE Smith | 2023 State NC | 6’9 Forward | Big Shots Elite McBride
Scott’s size was on display per usual as he showed off his mobility and ability to finish around the rim with Big Shots Elite McBride. He finished with 16.3 ppg at Big Shots Nationals, including 16 points against VA Havoc Roanoke in an impressive performance showcasing his rebounding ability as well. He’s a sizeable big man due for some attention very soon in the 2023 class.
McCaskill Rivers McCaskill Rivers 6'4" | SF East Gaston | 2023 State NC | 6’5 Forward/Wing | CB Hoops
Rivers is a versatile threat at 6-foot-5 that’s finding his way as more than a scorer. He averaged 12.6 ppg while showing his mobility and ability to play inside. He had a productive weekend on the wing shooting the ball and showed he can rebound the ball on both ends when not involved in the play. He’s a budding name to know in NC’s 2023 class.
Areion Matthews | 6’3 Guard/Wing | Kernersville Bulls
Matthews was a force around the rim and getting downhill at Big Shots Nationals for the Kernersville Bulls. He produced 17.3 ppg while leading his squad with 69 points this past weekend. He closed out the weekend with a big 27-point outburst in their final game of the event. He’ll be a name to track this season at Winston-Salem Prep.
Alex Godley | 6’2 Guard | Mid-State Magic
Godley is an emerging combo guard with good size and length with the Mid-State Magic. He showed his poise with 11.3 ppg this past weekend, scoring in double-figures in his three final games of the event. As he learns to make plays on both ends of the floor and get others involved, look for his stock to grow in the state of North Carolina.
Brock Rose Brock Rose 6'6" | SG Florida Coastal Prep | 2024 State NC | 6’4 Guard/Wing | Team Synergy 2023
Rose is an emerging sharpshooter that showed he can do more on the floor at Big Shots Nationals. He put up 14.0 ppg with 21 points coming against a tough VA Havoc Roanoke squad. He used his length and frame well to battle in the paint and defend post players with no hesitation. He’s a prospect to track given his potential and versatility.
Sean Rose Sean Rose 6'6" | PF Charlotte Latin | 2023 State NC | 6’6 Wing/Forward | Team Synergy 2023
Sean Rose Sean Rose 6'6" | PF Charlotte Latin | 2023 State NC is another versatile prospect to keep track of given his ability to shoot the ball, defend multiple roles and use his length to create mismatches on the wing. His handles have improved as has his ability to play physical on both ends. He’s another prospect to track in Team Synergy ‘s rotation with a ton of potential.
