Prep Hoops updated 2022 Texas Rankings dropped in June with 200 total players making the list. With each update to the state rankings comes new additions, with four players from the Austin area making the cut of the summer rankings update.

  • A combo guard who has smooth handles and can create his own shot in the mid-range and around the elbow, Engels had a terrific junior season at Westwood while leading the Warriors to the playoffs. Engels primarily plays point guard for Westwood but has the natural shooting ability and slashing potential to play shooting guard at the next level. Not only can he create shot opportunities for himself, but he does a good job of setting up teammates for open looks and running the Warriors offense.
