Klug is an impressive hybrid forward that moves with a ton of promise in the 2022 class in North Carolina. He averaged 19.0 ppg through five games with 28 points in their opening game. He took home 17U MVP honors by the end of the weekend as Basketpoint USA went 5-0 on the weekend.
Cole Sinclair Cole Sinclair 6'1" | PG Winston-Salem Christian | 2022 State NC | 6’1 Guard | Durham Hurricanes
Sinclair’s arsenal of moves shooting and getting to the rim were on full display as he finished 1st in total points (116) and scoring average (29.0 ppg) as his squad went 2-2 on the weekend. He posted a personal-best 32 points against a talented Team Synergy squad, showing off his ability knock down shots on the perimeter and under tough defensive pressure. As he continues to improve his conditioning and body, look for colleges to jump on him.
Trevor Button Trevor Button 6'3" | CG Emerson Waldorf | 2022 State NC | 6’3 Guard | Brothers Basketball
Button continues to be a model of consistency in the Brothers Basketball rotation. He’s a gritty guard that continues to show off his arsenal of moves to show off his scoring ability. He finished second in the 17U Division in total points (89) and third in scoring average (22.3 ppg) as he continues to show his consistency scoring the ball on all three levels. He’s got next level footwork and a fearless ability to get downhill and finish in traffic. His recruitment is due to grow in no time as more coaches get eyes on him.
Rayshaun Alston Rayshaun Alston 5'7" | PG Jordan Matthews | 2022 State NC | 5’11 Point Guard | NC Eagles
Alston is a floor general that continues to show his growth as a lead guard in the state of North Carolina. He’s got a solid frame he uses well to compete on both ends and defend with a ton of pressure on the ball. He posted 20.3 ppg on the weekend, including 28 points to open the event. As he shows he can knock down shots on the perimeter, look for more schools to come his way.
Zeke Cannedy Zeke Cannedy 6'1" | CG Kings Mountain | 2022 State NC | 6’1 Guard | Team Hope Harrist
Cannedy showed he hasn’t missed a beat since his last appearance in front of us in Rock Hill. He knocked down shots with consistency, got his teammates involved in the offense and made his presence felt on the defensive end as his squad went 3-1 on the weekend before falling in the 17U Title game. He finished the event with 17.7 ppg including 31 points against Big Shots Elite Tricities on Saturday. Coaches in need of a do-it-all guard, look no further.
Xavier Whitaker Xavier Whitaker 6'2" | CG Northern | 2022 State NC | 6’0 Guard | Team DBGH
Whitaker had a tough opening game with just six points while struggling to find his shot but after that, he finished the final three games in double-figures scoring. He bounced back in Game 2 of Big Shots Nationals with a big 20-point outing while shaking off the rust a bit as a shooter and slasher. He’s a strong guard that can get to the rim and uses his mid-range shot well when getting separation to be an effective outlet on the wing. As he shows he can make plays for others, look for colleges to begin recruiting him.
